So my sister had a party for Halloween and it kicked ass. Everybody was in costumes and we had good food and fun games. I was the Grimm Reaper, what was awesome was the costume I had this heart and tubes that when you squeezed the heart blood would pump through the clear chest.
Needless to say I had to spike the punch. Vodka and punch is sooooo very good. And the Vodka made playing games even funnier.![]()
From left to right is my sister's boyfriend Justin as an Imperial Captain, then my sister Mab as a Butterfly and finally me as Mr.Grimm!
We also watched "Night of the Living Dead" which for being an old movie was pretty good, especially if you MST3K'ed it.(and if you know what MST3K stands for you are the awesome) We had like 5 trick'or'treat groups. My mom would hand out the candy and I would just stand behind her trying to look scary, pumping the blood through the clear chest. One group there was a little girl that kept asking why I wasn't saying anything and that I was messy.
Good times!
Hope everyone else had a safe fun weekend. One more week till Modern Warfare 2!w00t!
This weekend I've played games I thought I was long done with. Why you may ask, because of achievement points. Now there's always games you love that you'll go back to time and time again. No matter how many times you beat it. Like for me Suikoden II and Oblivion. There's some oldies that even to this day I love. I haven't had my PS3 long enough to have oldies but I'm quickly finding the trophies are just as addictive to get.
I also had a thought that really achievement points are just an evolution of what video games have taught us. Even in the NES days we wanted the high score. We've wanted to find all the whistles in Super Mario 3. We've wanted to get all the Matera in Final Fantasy 7. Some, but not all of us to some degree or another are completionests. And partly so by the very video games we've played. At lest looking back that's what I see for myself.
I'd love to see Nintendo follow suit and create something similar. What's great about them if you don't like them, that's fine you don't have to get them. Options is the key word. Great developers and sellers of anything know that giving people options they like is the greatest way to sell. Cars, Movie theaters, Music, restaurants, bars are all made better with good options.
So yeah that raps up a board blog while watching football. ![]()
Watched the football game last night and Farve with his Vikings destroyed the Packers. Now I'm a Packers fan so I was saddened but it was a good game. Poor Rogers had not line support and got sacked at lest 8 times.![]()
And of course I'm happy to watch any game where a team I like wins. Mainly because I'm a poor Rams fan and there sucking horrible right now 0-4. Don't know wth is up with them so until they get on the ball I'm rooting for the Packers and Steelers.
Saw the video game comes out today. I'm going to be looking into it. Sounds like it could be very interesting. Brutal Legend comes out next week so that will be a buy. I was pretty impressed with the good selection of metal bands they've got for it. Children ofBodom, Megadeth, In Flames, Cradel of Filth, Dethklok, Candlemass, Static-X, Rob Zombie, Dark Tranquility, and Deathstars. Freaking Awesome list. There's more of course but these are the ones I like. ![]()
In the end I leave you with this thought.
