_ Since I'm probably not going to deploy for a while and everything in my life is going pretty smooth, I've been thinking it's time for me to get back into my hobbies. Gaming is one of my many passions and I think if you're passionate about something you should pursue it. This seems like a better place to spend my time online than a place like myspace, since I share something in common with everyone right off the bat, and since myspace is kind of weird with scams and fake profiles and a million ads and so on, gamespot seems like a lot better place to be. I'm a pretty strong writer (although probably pretty rusty), and I've always wanted to write a review, so I'll probably get to work on that soon. Not one of those short stupid ones that people post with ten hours or less playing time that are just full of gripes, but one of those 80+ hours, multiple playthroughs, several months of my life reviews. There are several things I want to pursue, so I guess I'll just make a list:
- Guitar - I used to be fairly good (years ago), but I kind of let it slip.
- Martial arts - I've been the same belt for way too long.
- A motorcycle - I already signed up for the course that's required in California for people under 21 to get a type M license and started shopping around, so next month I'll have a C, M license, then I just gotta get the bike!
- Literature - I've got a box of random novels that I haven't even started to read, reading really expands your world, there's just so much to learn from books.
- Investing - I'm getting old, well, not really, I'm not even old enough to drink, but it's never too early to look to the future. After all, you always hear those "if I'd started investing when I was young I'd be rich" stories, I'd like to be one of the "I started investing when I was young and now I'm living the good life" people.
- Video games - duh.
- Everything else - and I guess in general just kind of re-dedicate myself to everything I am doing , ie school, work, and stuff.
- Friends - Oh yeah, and I need to call up some old friends, see what they're up to. Getting sent thousands of miles away for months and months at a time by the Marine Corps is no reason to not keep in touch with your friends, he he, well I guess it kind of doesn't help, but I'm home now so what am I waiting for?
_ I guess that's it for now, I might be missing something but oh well. I've only ever gotten like one comment on a blog so I'm probably just talking to air anyway, but you never know huh? Rock on.
