Things have changed

It's been too long since the last time I wrote a post on this blog. I don't think anybody is going to give a care to this post. I'm writing this because I just want to appear busy (I'm in the office ). So many things happened in my life. I've been to some places in Europe and East Asia. I've met some cool and talented people, like Dr. Sawas who used to be an engineer at NASA. The greatest of all that happened was I met an amazing girl who has become my wife. She doesn't like pc games. And she always interupts me when I storm a dungeon in World of Warcraft with my friends. But I still love her. But this happiest thing also brought me the most painful thing ever happened in my life. We were about to be parents. But there's something wrong with our baby boy. And he died just 3 days after he's born.

Let's talk gaming. Ever found yourself caught in an arguement "PC or console?"? I'd always been a faithful PC gamer. Well, some console-only games and ported games are pretty cool. But I still thought PC was the best platform in the world (and the most expensive). Warren Spector said a couple years ago that PC gaming was facing its Dark Age. I didn't believe. But now I'm beginning to see truth in it. How many PC-only games have we got this past 2 years? Publishers see PC as the forth platform.....an after thought. Why? Simple questions. How many Xbox 360 sold so far? And how many gaming-capable PCs out there in the world? Are you going to spend more than 2000 USD to build a very powerful monster PC, or less than 500 USD to buy a Xbox 360? Maybe you're a millionaire. Maybe 2000 USD is nothing to you. But 2/3 of other living souls on this Earth are poorer than you are. And I'm 1 of those 2/3. And developers won't make things better. Take a look at Supreme Commander.....How am I going to play it with my prehistoric PC that only has P4 3.0 and 7800GS? Man...even the currently most powerful PC can't bring out a decent fps at highest setting. Now I'm thinking about shifting to Xbox 360. I would miss out some PC exclusive games, of course. But how many would that be?
