While FPS is probably my most favorite genre(action adventure close second) there is some things that sucked.

Escort Mission from Command and Conquer Renegade Mission title "All Brains No Brawn"

I played C&C Renegade when I was 12 years old. It was a really fun shooter for me at the time because it had lots of weapons, large environments, and dozens of vehicles. Even though the AI was bad, there was a lot of bad guys and later in the game they were only tougher and had better weapons.

While Renegade was an enjoyable shooter with some flaws here and there, the All Brains No Brawn mission was the worst. The mission should have been called "The MOST RETARDED SCIENTIST IN THE WORLD". This mission you had to rescue Dr. Ignatio Mobius from a NOD underground research facility and bring him up. This mission was late in the game, so there was hundreds of bad guys. I failed the mission the first 5 times because the Dr. would always charge, couldn't shoot accurately, and would always stop in a wide open area. This would suck at the end of the mission when dozens of cameras with turrets, rocket soldiers, and laser rifle soldiers were waiting. This escort mission lasts for 15 minutes which flat out sucks. when I beat this mission my health was in the red at like 15. Imagine if Far Cry, Left 4 Dead, Bioshock, Max Payne 2, Gears of War, Halo, or Call of Duty game had a escort mission. No one likes escort missions, especially if their brains have no frontal lobe tissue.
