I remember way back when.......
I remember being like 7 or 8 years old...I used to go to my friends house down the street and we would play Ninja Gaiden on NES all day. It was much different from the Ninja Gaiden I was used to....I used to steal quarters from this jukebox down at the local burgerstand and pump them into this arcade game by the same name....I remember when you died you saw a scene of Ryu on this conveyor belt slowly headed toward a buzzsaw....you had 10 seconds to continue before it ended in a bloody mess and you saw the dreaded game over screen....
I was a master at Ninja Gaiden on NES....I knew the fastest way to defeat every boss..I could disarm them...even make them multiply....my record time for defeating a boss is 3 seconds. Later he got Ninja Gaiden 2....I beat that one too..It wasnt as hard as the first NES installment but was a bit more fun.
Then I moved away.....
On my 9th birthday my uncle got me my own copy of Ninja Gaiden! (since i got it it has made a rattling sound when you shake it but works totally fine..I never said anything because I didnt want them to try and return it and I not be able to get another!) I remember how happy I was...later I got my own Ninja Gaiden 2...then Ninja Gaiden 3...They all still work to this day...they are my pride and joy...
When I got older I sought out a game titled DOA because I heard it contained a character named Ryu Hayabusa....You never forget the name of your childhood heroes....And to my delight he was one and the same!
Now I have a big DOA collection...I keep my original NES ninja gaidens close to me and I even bought an XBOX just so I could have the latest installment to the Hayabusa legacy. (Strangely though my first copy of NG for Xbox stopped working and I had to get another....modern technology...go figure) I even have my XBOX 360 on reserve so I can get DOA4 and Ninja Gaiden 2. But thats in the near future.......
So for now I guess I have all my games..plus my Ninja Gaiden shirt and Hat. OH and Ninja Gaiden Black comes out next month.....and it even has an unlockable version of a certain arcade game......
