Dear all,
Can you suggest me a good laptop/desktop configurationfor smooth running of gamesof the cadre ofcrysis, far cry 2, rise of argonauts, mass effect andfifa09.
I have come to know of heating issues with high config. laptops. Is this true? What to go for?

I would go to your local computer store and chat with them about it. They would probably have the best advice for that. Me personally, I played Crysis on my computer (Dell Dimension) with an Intel Duo Core 6600E CPU, 2 gigs of memory, and a EVGA GeForce 8800 GT Super Overclocked (512 Meg of ram) PCI - X video card. It ran everything on the highest settings under Windows Vista Home Premium Edition. Mind you that some of the time the video did bog down because it does get very graphic intense near the ending especially. I hope that helps!

Sandpiper121PP pretty much said it, though I'd recommend 4 gigs of RAM instead of just 2

thanks sandpiper. i am doing a market analysis to get good rates for system.
what's with this "overclocked" graphics card? what's it's special feature?

It means that the makers (EVGA) factory overclocked the chips on the video card to the fastest they could go. So if you purchase a EVGA 8800 512 meg card as apposed to a EVGA 512 meg Super Overclocked card... the overclocked card will process the graphics smoother and faster. It seems that overclocking is something that people do to hardware regularly... but by having it done by the factory and sold that way... it does not void the warranty on it. If you overclock it... and it ruins it... then you have no warranty to back you up.
