I finally got a Core 2 Duo E6750 to replace my Pentium D 945 and what a performance increase this thing is fast, I haven't tried it on any games yet but 3D Mark and general PC use has improved so much. here is the installation process in pics and updated pics of my PC. I got the E6750 for £120 ($240) inc postage, which is pretty good price for the UK, but the best part is that my old Pentium D 945 is still worth allot on ebay I can get about £70 for it now.

Here is the rest of my PC setup:

Core 2 Duo E6750
ASUS P5N32-E Sli 680i
7900GS 256mb @ 618mhz/800Mhz
2GB Corsair XMS2 800Mhz ram
Hitachi 250GB SATA2 HD

The nice box the proccessor came in, it had a heatsink included but I used my Artic Cooler 7 pro instead.

Here is the E6750 its self doesn't look any different to any other Intel CPU

Ok so now the heatsink has gone we can see the old Pentium D 945 covered in Artic silver thermal paste

CONGRAAAAATS maaan, nice purchase, lol i just love that northbridge fan, maaan where do u get such stuff from? btw if u upgraded your video card first, you would notice more fps increase, but that was a good move to upgrade your cpu first, so that you can get a nice geforce 9 series card . Congrats again , aaah if only there is such a thing as cpu sli, i would have bought the old cpu from u lol.

Lol SLI CPU would be great, I'm thinking of waiting to see how Crysis will run with my 7900GS at the moment, if its poor I will probably get a 2900Xt of wait to see what Nvidia have to bring out. anyway hows your PC going any upgrades recently?

i've got my self a nice evga 8800GTS 320mb ACS3 KO back since july, for around 1300 Dirhams, 1300/3.7 = 351$ not a bad deal, nothing more, for now atleast hehe, i've just read that part where the pentium D could be worth £70, is that true? i've heard about this, this processor is selling for 170$ retail, the price hasnt dropped since a year or something. aaah am going to get a new mobo , ram and processor, so that i can have 3 gaming rigs at home lol.

great, I can imagine how fast your CPU is! I got an E6420 early in the summer. I have a 8800 GTX and my system is so fast now thanks to both of them. I have 1 GB of OCZ (2*512MB) ram now but I will surely need 2 GB soon. do you suggest to sell my OCZ rams and buy 2 1GB corsair ones or wait for my budget to allow me to add to my current ram (2 more 512 MBs).
