SO I got my 8800GTS 512mb on christmas it is the MSi OC version with 730mhz core and 1944mhz mem speeds, it is on hell of a card and I'm very pleased with it. I am playing Crysis in DX10 very high settings at 1440x900 and it is very smooth never goes below 20fps. the card came with Dirt and Lord of the rings online which I will give to my mum as I give her my old 7900GS.
I have also got my best 3Dmark06 score 13661 with my CPU at 3.6Ghz and the card at 830Mhz and 2Ghz Mem.

SO my PC is now as follows
Core 2 Duo E6750 @ 3Ghz
ASUS P5N32-E SLi 680i Nforce mtherboard
MSI OC 8800GTS 512mb 730mhz/1944mhz
4GB Corsair Xms2 900MHz RAM
CoolerMaster I-Green 600W PSU
2x 250GB Hitachi HDDs in RAID0
Thermaltake Armour Full tower
Vista Ultimate 64bit
Here are some pics of my PC and the 8800GTS they aren't very good I realy should have taken the pics before I put it in teh PC.

Ok so allot has changed since my last blog (see blow). I have now got the two 250Gb SATA2 Harddrives and they are both running in RAID0 it makes things so much faster I did also get Vista Ultimate 64Bit which I'm surprisingly pleased with I was expecting it to be rubbish since almost everyone on GS told be not to get it. but I'm happy with it and its not bad for gaming at all.
Another two upgrades I didn't plan on getting are another 2Gb or Corsair XMS2 DDR2 ram now running at 900Mhz with my E6750 constantly Clocked to 3GHz which makes Crysis so much more smoother.
I have also get a new PSU as my old one was just a cheapo PSU. After much debate I get a 600W CoolerMaster I-Green which arrived today I hope to save the planet and play games
Jk I was actually hoping to save a few £$ a month on bills as the I green is 85% efficient.
so my PC now looks like this
Core 2 Duo E6750 OC @ 3Ghz + AC cooler 7
ASUS P5N32-E SLI Nforce 680i
4GB Corsair XMS2 DDR2 RAM @900Mhz
Geforce 7900GS OC @ 635Mhz/800Mhz
2X 250GB HDD RAID0
CoolerMaster I-Green 600W PSU
Vista Ultimate 64Bit
Anyway here are some pics

My 7900GS fan modd with 635Mhz core overclock
I also did a little fan modd to my 7900GS while I had the PC apart so I can squeeze a little more power out of it before i get the new 8800GTS 512mb due out mid December. I took the 60mm fan of the GPU heatsink and replaced it with a 92mm Evercool spider fan the. The card is overclocked to 635Mhz Core speed and 800Mhz memory the 7900Gs is a very good overclocker its stock core speed is 450Mhz so 635Mhz is a very good overclock. but whats better is the card Idols at 38c and is 45c underload with the 92mm fan.
Ok so The fan arrived and so did the LEDs to go in the 250mm fan. Iam having trouble with the LEDs I put in the 250mm fan they will work when powered from a 12V mains connection but when I connect the fan into the PC the fan fires up but the LEDs don't light up, I'm hoping the guys at the The Custom-Built PC Union can help me with it.
I still haven't finished the case yet as you can see in the pics there is still allot of blue light in th e case which will have to go, I will put a green power light instead of the Blue one and the Harddrive cooler will fan green fans put in it. then after that is finished I will have to paint the inside black which will have to wait cos I really can be bothered to strip the PC now.
I also got Vista Ultimate installed and it works fine all my old games work didn't really have any driver issues. and I got the RAID0 configuration sorted so now I have a hitachi 250GB deskstar and a Seagate Barracuda 250GB HDD in RAID0 and it really does make a difference in loading times every thing is much faster.
I have also been playing Call of Duty 4 I got it yesterday and it is great very well optimised game and very good single player and multiplayer. I will post some screens soon.
Sorry about the picsI too them with my mobile
