okay- first off: hi! also, i've only got about two weeks here before i go to school again. it's the term three holidays, and after these two weeks we only have a 6-week term (term four) yay! however this means that i will be busier, as they will be condensing all of our work- we only have 6 weeks to do all the work that would normally take us 10 weeks to finish. so that means that you won't see me for about a month

any way- what i really wanted to post here was: guess what? (and no, that isn't all- there's more coming) about 3 weeks ago i went to the comic book store to pick up my sixth issue of the buffy comics

(HIGHLIGHT TO SEE MY COMMENTS ON THE BUFFY COMICS, SO AS NOT TO CREATE SPOILERS)

this sixth issue is really good- i'm so glad to see faith again- though it does kinda have a bit of a "queen of the slayers" vibe to it. However, i am absolutely positive that it will be way better- i don't think that i liked queen of the slayers very much... i like how each of the character's have their own narration kinda thing- they have a coloured bubble for what they are thinking. I don't really like how faith seems to have reverted back to her "every body sucks" mood, though i am seeing some improvements- her interaction with giles and a "salad fork" for instance- which, btw, glad to see the G-Man back! I still think that number five was the best issue so far... i feel so sorry for the girl and how nobody seems to notice her... but back toissue 6- what i really wanna know right now is: what ever happened to robin Wood? why is he no longer with faith? I hope that by the end of this Faith arc (so issue 10?) they get back together, cos i liked that faith had her own guy at last. i also hope that no character is killed in the 8th season- as it just wouldn't be the same as television.

(END OF SPOILERS)

so, while i was there (at the comic book store) i found four other things which i wanted more than anything else- a Buffy calendar for 2008, the firefly companion books (volumes one and two) and the serenity companion book. i checked with them to see if they had much in stock- they actually said that they were pretty sure that the calendar and the firefly companion book (issue one) would never come by again- the other two had a higher chance of being found. so, of course, i had to buy the buffy calendar and the firefly volume one. i hope that they still have firefly volume two and serenity by christmas... i'm hoping to get those as well. they're actually really expensive. as soon as i figure out how to use the scanner, i will scan the calendar on so then you can all see them. has anyone else gotten the calendar for 2008? i hope that they do them for 2009 as well. most of the shots in the calendar seem to be from season 5-ish, some from earlier.

well, that's me! cya all. i'll be on the forums for a fortnight, then i won't be back for another month

hi everyone. i thought that i should probably post something about Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows which came out one month ago to the day. I know, a bit late, but i need this to be posted. don't worry, i won't spoil anything- or i'll try not to at the least. for me, this day was very exciting. I've been reading the series since i was in year three, and to finally read the entire book... well it is an important day in history. at first i didn't like the children's cover for the Australian/ British edition, but when you're holding it in your hand, it doesn't look so bad. All in all i quite enjoyed this Book. There were alot of nice things sbout it, so many beautiful moments that i thought were great to put in. alot of the bits she used many people didn't like. I however, feel that they all helped to wrap up the series really well. not many people get those moments, and they hate them- but when you really think about it, she had to put them in. One thing i feel when reading Harry Potter 7 is a sort of sadness- a longing. I really miss reading the earlier books, as with Harry Potter 7- even though it is all awesome and action packed- it does feel lonely, and so much more intense, and less fun- p[robably because this is the end and there is so much tension. In this book there are alot of small parts that are used from the previous books in order to warp it up- for instance Harry remembering the good old days, or remembering how his life as a wizard all started. these moments wrap up the series, but i can't help but feel sad. i miss those old moments. I want to go on, but then i realise how great and peaceful those old moments were for the characters.

now, moving on to the Buffy comics- I really love these. at first it felt a little weird, but as you go on you just get so engrossed in them, it really feels like the series is back. The newest issue- The Chain- is my favourite. i feel sorry for the girl in it. if you've read it then you know what i am talking about.

*SPOILER ALERT*

**

I was wondering- is the black girl from the comics who trained with "buffy"- is she supposed to be Rona? if you don't know who i mean, then look at the scenes where she is told that she is to be a Buffy impersonator- the girl telling her this is black, and she kinda looks like Rona... i was wondering if anyone else got that feeling too... Also in the TV ad for being a Slayer, is the guy "watcher" supposed to be Andrew, or again is that just me??

**

*END SPOILER ALERT*

other than that there is not much else going on in my life. i am currently watching Season six of Buffy. In buffy i have a similar thing that i had with Harry Potter- as you move on in the series you begin to miss the earlier episodes. they make me sad. i suppose i feel the sasme way about life. i want to move on in my life, i want to go and grow up and do all sorts of things, i want to see how far i can get from her, and i want to leave behind those people at my school who i don't like so much. but at the same time i just want to stay here and live. not have to worry about anything but stay with all the poeple who i care about. I want to stay with my friends and have fun. already i miss being younger, being carefree. It's actually quite depressing, lol, i suppose. When i watch Buffy i love all the moments. i always want to move forward in the series, but the further i move, the more i miss the old seasons- the more i miss Sunnydale high school. i suppose you never really appreciate what you've got until it's gone.

Anyway- moving on. I'm glad to be back- and hgonestly, i can't remember why i left in the first place. I hope that all the older regular users come back too- those were the days when i could come one at any time and find the forum full of posters... whatever happened? i hope that i see all of my TV.com buddies again- and quite soon, although i would be happy to make some new ones too

well, see ya next time, for anyone who reads this.

Hi all. today we Buffy lovers reach our tenth year of being a Buffy fan. Today is the birthday of one of the most brilliant shows in the world: Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Thankyou, Joss Whedon, for creating it, I needed this show to live- and I still do. Hi all- haven't seen you in ages. Isn't this exciting? this very day, ten years ago, Buffy was created! it also saddens me, because that means that Buffy is less fresh. Already there are year 8's who have never heard of Buffy Before (because we Australians have only 5 channels- normal tv- so we don't show reruns besides simpsons) it's okay for America, it will always be remembered there, but now, Buffy fans in Australia have stopped appearing around the age of 13 and under- with the exception of my ten-year-old sister who watches it with me. Nevertheless, I will continue to spread the series to all I can, and make new Buffy fans all around... are you ready to be strong? ...I mean, are you ready to watch Buffy?
also, today is the 16th Birthday of one of my oldest Friends, lucky her, born on the same day as Buffy ( the show)- she is currently watching season 4, which I gave her just yesterday. I'm so proud of her... soon she will be a season 5er! and she'll know all about Dawn and Glory... well as soon as she finishes season 4, which she only just started. Happy Birthday Ashleigh!!!!
and finally... under the topic of "Birthday Time" is my Birthday! 13th March, this Tuesday. But I wish I was Ashleigh, cos then I Could celebrate buffy's and my Birthday at the same time- she must be so proud! well, that's all... goodbye, and I think I will write Blogs more frequently, my last one dates back to October, I think. how rude of me, keeping my fans waiting for months on end until I record my latest Adventure *sigh* i am SO cool, but Being cool isn't just my right, it's my responsibility... *banters on about own "greatness" *

River tam is played excellently by Summer glau. she is so flexible, she was the best person to play "a weapon" as she was known as in serenity. she has enormous grace, and her acting in serenity chokes me up- the part wher she says that...

abhainn_anam must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could abhainn_anam possibly have for not rating a single film?
