Ever get the feeling "this is the best thing ever?" Well, I did last night.

"Surrounded"
Green Day was so epic. It's easily the best gig I've been to and could be the best thing I've done in my entire life. I just can't get over how great they are live. The support band was okay, but they were quite boring. Right up until I heard "Song of the Century" playing I wasn't too excited. When it started playing in the background a smile lit up on my face and I stood up. When the band came out one by come I was as giddy as a school girl. I immediately started taking photos of them on the digital camera (which wasn't charged enough) it ran out after a song, so I got the rest of the photos on my phone. They're not the best quality, but they still capture the epicness which was that show. Everything about it tops the other two gigs I was at before. The sound was brilliant, especially compared to when I went to see Trivium. The arena had quite alot of people in it, probably double of what was there at Machine Head. Just everything about the show completely obliterates the other two shows I went to.

"Hundreds of people"
One thing that really stood out to me was the audience interaction. Most of the songs slowed down around the middle so that Billie Joe could get the audience singing along. When the songs kicked back in there was explosions most of the time, and it was extremely awesome everytime it happened. They actually got a few audience members up on stage. One of the children was told to spray water over the audience as Billie Joe did, too. They got a girl up to sing along to Longview and suprisingly she got the crowd going by shouting "Come on Belfast" and she jumped up on the speakers mimicing Billie Joe himself. Some other noveltys include toilet paper shooters, lots and lots of confetti in the song before the Encore, the encore itself where they played 5 more songs.

"Billie with a child audience member"
They played 26 songs in total and played for 2 hours and 40-ish minutes. Well worth the money. The songs they played include (but not limited to) American Idiot, 21st Century Breakdown, 21 Guns, Static Age, Are We The Waiting, St. Jimmy, Jesus of Suburbia, Wake Me Up When September Ends, Good Riddance, Holiday, Jaded, Brainstew, She, Basket Case, Welcome to Paradise, Longview, When I Come Around, King for a Day, Minority etc

"the platform"
Random thing: When me and my dad moved to the other side of the arena for an easier way out (before the traffic clogged up the place) I stood beside a girl who started talking to me, which I thought was really random. She put her arm around me and shouted "WOOOO" I was just like "What the?!". She followed that up by asking if they were finishing up soon, and I knew that there was only 1 or 2 songs left so I replied with that. She literally gave a "
" face and said "Such a brilliant show" I just agreed. There was really no meaning behind me writing this, but I just thought it was pretty cool that even randomers at a concert can get along. Especially with me being the only long haired male at the whole show.

"Sparky"
It was probably the most fun and best time I've ever had in my life. I will not hesistate to see them next year. I'm still shocked at how good it was. Brilliant times a thousand.

Facebook Photo album of all the photos taken. The one video I recorded.
Using those blogs as examples alone it's safe to say I loved Green Day a billion times more than those gigs put together.

I wish it never ended.
Comments
@rebelway: It was amazing
@sammyjenkis898: Billie was excellent. When I watched BIAB I just assumed it was that great because it was being recorded, but I was completely wrong. They put their heart and souls into every show they do. I can't wait to see them again.
@LJS9502_basic: It was great!
@Sophia: Their newest two albums are quite amazing. @C-Lee: I can't really remember bits of songs, so I must have missed those.
Billie Joe? I never knew he was called that. Unfashionable name for a lead singer!
I now like Green Day a little more.
i really think they're one of the best live bands right now, with the way they interact with the audience.
