Universal Studios Home Entertainment yesterday announced that the first season of Heroes will be released on DVD and HD-DVD on August 28, as previously leaked. The seven disk set will feature all 23 episodes from the first season, as well as a wealth of extras.
The most prized extra is the unaired 73- minute version of the pilot episode, which features a never- before-seen character. Also included in this obligatory "making of" featurette, specials on the show's special effects, score, and stunts, a profile of Tim Sale and his comic-book style art a minigame to test viewers' mind reading abilities, and 50 deleted and extended scenes.
Heroes will retail for $59.99.
That sound like awesome news, I will be getting Heroes on August 28.

I really like how ABC gave Heroes an extra episode also. So that means that there will be a total of 24 episodes.
