Today I watched "Yusuke's Rant 2" on YouTube today and it made me think. You know how film companies do remakes of classic movies. Sure, it was for money purposes, but when you think about, only a couple of those movies actually good, like the new version of King Kong (though I thought that 'Winter Frolicking' scene was just too much.) With that in mind, I remembered when they remade He-Man. Basically, it kept the concepts of the original version, while bringing something new to the table, in this case, a version with animation that fans of the old version dreamed about. Same goes for the remake of Ninja Turtles, one of the few decent shows done by 4kids.
Then I came up with this concept: what if some of today's networks make a modern version of classics shows from the 70's and 60's. Sure, I think some shows are perfect the way they are, and not everyone is always thrill about 're-re-releases.' Example: There has been over a dozen versions of Superman cartoons out there, and with each generation, most of them are getting better; although none of them can live up to the 'Oh' and 'Aw' of watching the Fletcher classics on a big screen. And let's face it, 'Tom and Jerry Tales' can NEVER be as good as the original MGM shorts. And of course, the WB (or CW) is re-releasing old shows like X-Men, Spider-Man, and Transformers and they're being done in a art style that everyone has seen before in shows like 'The Batman' and 'Legion of Superheroes.' I'm not saying those shows are bad, it just that I would like to see something new to the Saturday mix
But still, I think that there are shows that really do deserve a remake. Shows like Space Ghost for instance. I watched that show when I was little and it was one of my favorites, and I did enjoy the spoofs like 'Cartoon Planet' and 'Coast to Coast,' but now that those shows are long gone: Space Ghost needs to reclaim his status as super hero. Answer: New show. Nothing too drastic, of course; just sort of like a 'Batman: The Animated Series' version to 'The New Adventures of Batman' if you know what I mean.
Other shows that I think need to be remade are She-Ra (Seriously, let's get some real girl power here), Legends of the Hidden Temple (let's have some REAL game shows instead of having over the top REALITY shows), and Looney Tunes ( 'Tiny Toons' or 'Animaniacs' kind of remakes, we need shows that make us laugh.)
What do you think? Are there any shows you think should modernize or not?

Hong Kong Phooey: I think a good way to sproos that up is 1. Have more anthropomorphic characters on the show(like what "Two Stupid Dogs" did with Secret Squirrel) and 2. make him good at fighting, but bad at everything else so he'll still be funny.
Captain N: I can just see Kevin Keene useing a Wii and Numchuk in place of his zapper.
And those are all I have right now.
