Hello everyone!

Dramatic topic title huh? Well, it's true I will tell you the story and post some pics from some items I got from the ambulance

So, I was playing a bit of resident evil 4 wii edition(which is bloody awesome) while my girlfriend was laying om my bed, watching and chilling a bit. After a while I decided to stop playing and unplug the plug of my Wii adaptor. This was a bad idea, since I had pretty sweaty hands from playing on my hot attic.

I couldn't put my fingers under the plug because I have long fingernails(I play the guitar) so without thinking I twisted my hand so my fingers where under the plug. Yes, I got 220 volts through my body. It was the most painful feeling I have ever EVER experienced, and I still get goosebumps when I think about it. All my muscles thightened and loosened without me giving the orders to do so. I couldn't breath or move a muscle(literally).

Eventually I "woke" up on the floor, with pains on my chest and a numb feeling in my legs. I told my girlfriend to get help, which she did, and a few minutes later I had a doctor and a full crew of an ambulance in my room. I felt very safe with all these people in my room, because before I really thought I was going to die-.- They did an ECG on me, which is a hart test of some kind( i have pics) but it was ok. The doc eventually told us I was lucky, and would only suffer from bad muscle pains for the rest of the week, and a strange feeling in my body.

Overall, gaming nearly killed me. For real. I can laugh about it now, but every time I think back how it felt...I get goosebumps all over. I wasn't fun at all-.-

Anyway, pics! Lawl.

This is one day after the accident! I could keep these things as a souvenier, so I cranked them onto my body once more Just for showing it to you good people, ain't I nice^^ Don't mind my pale skin please

This is from the ECG, the machine the plugged onto my body. Pretty cool huh?^^

Anyway, that's it for today. Nothing too special I guess Uhm, keep away from electricity!!! And console plugs!!!

Zero.

I know it's far from funny, I've never been electrocuted myself bt I have however had an ECG before and those little plasters are a real pain to come off!

To say gaming nearly killed you.... well for me there's no better way to go I can laugh at this now because your ok Well I hope your all on the mend now and it's good to know you're still here bud!
Posted Jul 2, 2007 8:49 am PT
Yeah I can still game xploded^^ Thank god

Haha kingkoop, same here! I had 2 plasters on my legs aswell, which is the only part on my body with loads of hair It does hurt a lot!
And thanks

Holy crap! Gaming can kill! (Maybe its a good thing we typically use 120V in the US?) Glad you made it through alive, I'm not ready for a death on my friends list. I had a ECG a month ago, mine turned out OK too. Viva!
Posted Jul 2, 2007 9:25 am PT
Good to hear that quadraleap! And 120v? Is that enough to use high-end gaming pc's?

Don't worry, my heart is rock solid, it won't fail if I get electrocuted
Posted Jul 2, 2007 9:34 am PT
quadraleap, it is actually worse that the voltage is lower in the US. The actual damage comes from the current (amps) as opposed to voltage. As the voltage is lower in the US, current is higher to compensate. A taser gun is 10,000 volts at extremely low current. Just make sure you never get shocked in the US, never a good thing!

Glad you are safe Zero, must have been traumatic for your girlfriend as well, it is a good thing she was there. All the best for your recovery.

Yeah it wasn't cool for her to see me like that, but she is a nurse and knows how to stay calm at moments like those. And thanks, atm my chest pains are almost gone, it's just that my legs feel wacky
Posted Jul 2, 2007 9:41 am PT
Glad to see your alive.

I died when I was a baby and came back. I also was told that I wouldn't be able to walk and yet I can. I'll explain how I'd want to die in one blogs coming up.

wow.... I never REALLY thought that Resient Evil could literally scare you to death! anyways nice story my friend but the voltage doesn't matter at all, and at that its a small amount. The human body can take infinate volts (they cause the pain) but its all in the amps, or in fact, the milliamps.

figureing that in you were reasonably safe in the thinking that only items with heating elements or with just very large electrical requirements figureing into the path of the electrical ciruit it probobly jsut shot through your arm into the floor.

but hey im not a doctor or anything, feel free to brag .

and yeah as a kid I used to intentialy shock myself on outlets because it feels so damned tingly. And hell you've got one hell of a GF if she likes WATCHING someone play RESIDENT EVIL 4, and she'll put up wih the FISHING and all the AMBULENCE TRIPS
Posted Jul 2, 2007 11:16 am PT
Dude I know how it is, I caught the 120 VAC once while I was in school (we were fixing a fax machine as an exercise and long story short, I put my thumb where I shouldn't have.

It was so bad except my arm was numb and I was itching all over and felt weird for a while but it went away. I can imagine what 220 VAC does though, damn...

Glad you're okay though, take it easy!
Posted Jul 2, 2007 11:22 am PT
If you leave your girlfriend alone then I'm going to beat you up in heaven!
Posted Jul 2, 2007 2:18 pm PT
Whoa that's pretty crazy dude! Good to hear you're alive and OK. Make sure Jack Thompson doesn't hear about your accident or he'll probably use it for his crusade against videogames...
Posted Jul 2, 2007 4:55 pm PT
Dude you got messed up wii owned youThank god your okay though.
Posted Jul 2, 2007 8:24 pm PT
Thanks wolf

I'm not into physics that much, so I wouldn't know atillite And yeah, Re almost killed me I guess

That sounds painful aswell peter_panda! Did you get an ECG as well? To see if your heart was failing?

Haha Rhen_var, I won't^^ But I tell you what, if I do leave here, I'll give you her number!

Heya guthwulf! Yeah, it would be some great material for him to use! I''ll zip it

Thanks boomer
Posted Jul 3, 2007 12:45 am PT
hey i figure putting some mythbuster knowledge into the mix might help your mind, still a good bragin right
Posted Jul 3, 2007 8:49 am PT
Haha yea I guess
Posted Jul 3, 2007 2:26 pm PT
you could nearly get into a fight with some punk and his buddy would be like "dude you etter not, that guy is a hard [rectum]! he took 220 volts! just chill man" lol i can totally see that one play out.

anyways thinking of that, I've met a guy who feel off an 80ft cliff (somwhere about 26 meters?) and all he has wrong with him now is a metal plate in his wrist, the doctor said he shouldn't even be alive. He didn't brag about it or anything, just happened to come up in conversation
Posted Jul 3, 2007 3:29 pm PT
you shouldve thought of it! that swinging around with the Wii mote gives you sweaty hands!! no jk good thing you have a strong heart and a girlfriend who is a nurse good luck with the recovery!
Posted Jul 3, 2007 4:23 pm PT
You know what wheather you believe in God or not there was an angel with you that day God isn't done with you yet in this life.
I to had a ECG done and I have alot of hairs on my body as in alot think of a bear well not that much but anyways there was to much for the things to stick so they had to shave off certain spots where the things had to stick so let your imagination go. After they where do when they took them off it felt as if they where going to take the skin off with it but for a few days after that I had spotted bare spots on my chest and every time I would show and tell people what happened they would laugh and that was ok and then I would say I laugh now but at the time it was painful pain in the chest so to speak.
Posted Jul 3, 2007 9:58 pm PT
Haha, well I'm not the person to brag about it. And I don't need comments like that in a fight, if you piss me of, you have enough to worry about
I know a person with a plate in his head, he is absolutely normal. He only uses his story with girls at parties. He lets them tap his metal plate

Thanks killerfist

I don't believe in a god, but I do believe in guardian "angels" Feelings, living beings or whatever that protect you when you are in dire need of it. I think I had one active at the time^^
And yeah, those plasters where painful-.-
Posted Jul 4, 2007 2:44 am PT
That must have hurt alot.
Posted Jul 4, 2007 4:00 am PT
well hey im just trying to narrarate a good tale that has never happened.
Posted Jul 4, 2007 7:18 am PT
Oh man, that's crazy. I'm glad you're ok.
Posted Jul 4, 2007 9:15 am PT
And you did a funny job atillite

Thanks white_sox, it was crazy enough for me, indeed^^
Posted Jul 4, 2007 2:01 pm PT
....wait.....

this isnt zero demo.... that much electricity would hqve made his body explode... you are a freakish frankenstein imposter of zero made with the collected chunks of his body revived by an ecg!
Posted Jul 4, 2007 2:53 pm PT
That happened to me once (minus the ECG). I was trying to unplug my PS2 and it shocked me pretty good. I just started cussing like crap cause my hand felt like it was on fire. I also got shocked by a fence when a soccer ball I had went into my neighbor's backyard. I tried to reach in and I got shocked. It hurt like heck. Glad to see that you're alive. Games never killed anyone right?
Posted Jul 4, 2007 3:18 pm PT
I don't think you got shocked by the full circuit but just the static power from the PS2. Because else you wouldn;t be able to move your muscles, breath, etc, for a while. I think you just got zapped by the static power. Which is a good thing
Posted Jul 5, 2007 4:41 am PT
Wow. That is amazing. Especially sinceI unplug my Wii all the time to stop overheating. I'm going to have to be more careful. Well good thing your okay.
Posted Jul 5, 2007 7:56 am PT
Be careful mario-luige! Great to see some new faces on my blog btw, mind if I track you people(if your profile suits me ofcourse, muhaha-.-)

Seeya around,
Zero.
Posted Jul 5, 2007 2:19 pm PT
jeez, it would have been terrible if you hadn't survived. The only time ive been near death is when I choked on a life-saver(hard little round lolly, not the one for swimming),hows that for ironic. But it's good you're ok. And can you give me your girlfriends number anyway.....hehehe
Posted Jul 6, 2007 12:04 am PT
Oh jesus... that was a close one. Lucky you're still alive man.. I gotta be more careful around plugs now
Posted Jul 6, 2007 1:42 am PT
Sounds scary elbogp, I hate choking
And her number, nah

Thanks stubby I will
Posted Jul 6, 2007 7:48 am PT
dude you should be really lucky not to die because 100 amber is enough to kill the human and 220 volts looks like a much of ambers.
god was with you and you should really start to believe in him and the destiny because you was destined not to die, yeah dude that was scary i got shocked with a little voltage from the freezer and i almost cried(when i was kid) , so what about 220? thank god you didnt die and you should be careful next time.
Posted Jul 7, 2007 11:30 pm PT
and yeah is that photo in the banner your photo?
Posted Jul 7, 2007 11:31 pm PT
It is, why is EVERYONE asking me that? Lol^^
THanks for your compasion, and that freezer sounded scary as well
