Past two weeks, I got two new games, Gears of War 2 and Dead Space. Both really fun, but I can't really give a detailed response due to the fact that my Xbox kept overheating every two minutes I played on it. Because of this, I had to get it repaired and didn't g to fully play each game. However, I did go to my friends house to play them. I have to say, Gears 2 was very emotional and had a better background story than Gears 1. Mutiplayer is addicting, especially Horde Mode. When I bought Gears , I got the Collector's Edition, which gave me a Gold Lancer. I wasn't able to make the Midnight Madness for the Golden Hammerburst, though.
Dead Space is a great single player game. Advanced graphics and scares the **** out of you. One reason I bought it was to fight my fears of playing scary video games. I never played scary games, but I wanted to start because I was missing out. I decided to start the game on Hard. I had a blast, although my herat kept beating fast. I only got to finish Chapter 1 before I had to leave for my friends house.
When Christmas comes, I'm hoping to get the Call of Duty: World at War Collector's Edition anad the FAllout 3 Collector's Edition. Usually I only get Collector's Edition for only my most favorite games like Gears 2 and Halo 3 because I don't like to have a bunch of metal boxes. I like to have the original green game case to keep my collection in unison and looking similar. The metal boxes don't fit in with it. But after I researched, I found out that both Fallout 3 and World at War come with green cases inside the Collector's Edition so this was a bonus for me. I can get the Collector's Editions with the Cod Canteen, Fallout 3 Lunchbox and Vaultboy Bobblehead, and still have the green cases.
After the New Year, I will be getting the DSi and Halo Wars Collector's Edition. I will be getting the DSi because I still have the original, bulky DS. The DSi has a better, bigger screen, better buttons, an internal and external camera, SD card slot, MP3 apabilities, and internet surfing capabilities. It's a must for me because I will be going to France for one of the clubs I'm in.
When I researched Halo Wars Colelctor's Edition, I found out it will not be releasing with a green case. However, I will still be purchasing it because the extra items it comes with are worth it. Plus, the metal case is sexy enough to get. The extra items include a graphic novel titled, Halo Wars: Genesis, 6 leader cards, Sprit of Fire patch, an in-game Flaming Warthog, 3 Halo 3 maps from the Mythic Map Pack, and an in-game Honor Guard Wraith if you preorder.
This year's going to be fun.
Hello everybody. Just started using this again. Been very busy with IB and whatnot. My Xbox 360 had to go in repairs the same week I got Dead Space and Gears of War 2, which sucks. Luckily I got to go to my friend's house to beat them.
So far, this year has been hectic. The economic crisis, presidential election, and a whopping list of great games. I still didn't get everything I wanted. I'm still hoping to get Call of Duty: World at War, Fallout 3, and Left 4 Dead. This doesn't include the things coming early next year either, which include Halo Wars and the DSi. How will the gaming community react to the economic fall?
As you all know, our economy if failing. If it keeps up, we may be in another depression. over 500,000 people lost their jobs, Universities are droppnig students, and soon, scholarships will be harder to get and GPA requirements will rise. I don't know how far this will get but we may see a drop in game sales, releases, etc. Hopefully we don't get hit too much.
Wow, it's been a while since I've been on. I've been very busy in case you hav ebeen wondering. I have to go to violin practices and practice for a recital, study for driver's permit, I had to help get ready for my 16th birthday party, keep my grades up (which I proudly got straight A's), air rifle, NJROTC, Saber Team, family, and most importantly, my girlfriend. I may not have been on a lot, but I have been keeping up with the gaming world. The plas few months have been a blast. My dad got back from Iraq, and I met my girlfriends parents for her birthday party.
Anyway, when my dad came back, he brought me shopping, and I bought a whole lot of Halo products. I bought the hoodie, magnets, pins, rocket game case, and Halo Action Clix. I also bought The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. Great story. A few weeks after, I had my birthday party. Invited all my friends, hung out, played games. I got a little over $350 and the new Halo book, Halo: Contact Harvest. I am still reading it, but so far, it is an awesome book. I then bought Call of Duty 4 upon release. I have to say, I was impressed. Single player was intense, but I haven't played multiplayer yet. I'm waiting for my girlfriend's brother to get it. Oh, I also got a NES belt buckle. Woo!
This was and is probably the best year of my life, and for the gaming world. I'm not going to go into detail on my life, but for the gaming world, this is probably going to be the best holiday line up of games. Call of Duty 4, Halo 3, Orange Box, Super Maio Galaxy, Rock Band, Guitar Hero 3, Phantom Hourglass, and much more. If only I had a job.
