For my formal return to GameSpot, I present to you one of those damn blogs where someone (in this case, me) complains about other people complaining. Don't you just love those?
Now, I'm quite sure that in my absence this has been discussed in some form, but my ego won't allow me to check, and thus I'll have to add my own take on the whole HotSpot/Bomb Cast situation. Here goes...
"OMG! It's not the same anymore!"
Of course it's not. Practically everyone associated with the HotSpot for its first couple of years have now left. Did you honestly expect everything to stay the same? If the current crew came in and replaced all the old guys and started doing the same brand of humor and discussion, I'd be willing to bet the same people complaining about things being different would instead be complaining that the new dudes were simply stealing their act. Guess what, things change, people move on, and the sooner you realize that, the better.
"Tor is the worst host ever! I hate GameSpot now, it's gone completely downhill!"
Right, and to go back to what I was saying about moving on, that's basically what you need to do if that's how you feel. There are countless game sites out there, so for you to remain here if you supposedly hate what it's become so much doesn't make the site look bad, it makes you look like an idiot. What is the point in coming back agin and again and again just to complain about something that you knew you weren't going to like in the first place? You're probably the same people that look up videos of stuff you hate on YouTube so that you can post a comment saying how much you think it sucks, grow the Hell up you pathetic pieces of garbage. There are so many other options if you don't like what this place has to offer, it's as simple as going there instead. You'll never ever have to deal with GameSpot again if you don't come here, no really, it's true. Oh, I know it might be hard to believe, but give it a shot, it's not that difficult.
Now don't get me wrong, if you don't like the HotSpot anymore because you simply aren't a fan of the crew's humor then that's fine. I myself find the Bomb Cast to be a lot funnier, but that doesn't mean I feel the need to come back here and add how the HotSpot is total crap now (which is not how I feel) every single Tuesday (or in this week's case, Wednesday). Do you people really have nothing better to do?
Sorry for the rant everyone, but sweet unmerciful crap, you'd think these people actually enjoy being disappointed with how things are now with the way they keep coming back for more. The HotSpot and Bomb Cast are not in competition with each other, and people from both have mentioned that they have no animosity towards the other. Choosing sides in a non-conflict means nothing! *sigh*

Noted frozen-pizza enthusiast, white rapper, procrastination virtuoso, and general man about town SBYM is back in business here on the ol' GameSpot once again. Special thanks to EarthThatWas for inquiring towards my whereabouts a couple weeks back; as I had fallen on hard times and simply didn't have it in me to spend much time messing around on GS. Now, while I don't really have anything of note to write at the moment, I'll be looking to find at least something to type up soon enough. It's just odd seeing my profile practically empty as it is now.
If any of you have any ideas for something game-related to spread my words of wisdom(?) on, feel free to post 'em up in the comments. Feels good to be back, and I'm looking forward to not only writing stuff of my own, but getting back to reading all of yours as I once did.
