This is less a blog about me but rathere things recently of interest to me. The fist thing is the Scramble Crossing. You may know this as something japanese as its one of the most recognisable locations within Japan (Shibyua's Scramble Crossing, that is) and so the UK have followed suit to free up congestion in the capital with this our version

It only opened today so you can understand butit looks interesting. I haven't been yet but i'll probably go this weekend as i want to go to my borthers GAME shop (he works there not owns it incase your wondering) and pre-order either Assassins Creed II or The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks (which has a special pre order tin and figurines) so i may take pictures when i go (plus i have have short hair again(cut my afro, it wasn't all that big but very spongy and curly) so i look different).
Next is I Beat Prince of Persia today (X360 Version) It was a great game, the platforming it what sold me, the running on walls, climbing and puzzles were really intuative and great, the no game over screens was nice, and even though there were limited enemies only showing up in certain encounters the platforming is enough of a challenge to hold me over and it was over a great adventure. This is the sort of game i like: adventure (or fantasy in some forms) I don't like realism that much in games doing something amazing with a game makes it more enjoyable and i still stick with the idea that if i want a call of duty experience without the annoyace of online jerks (and online in general, its OK on some games but its starting to annoy me) the army is always recruiting.
Lastly, i look at Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days again. I'm trying to decipher Squeenix's way of doing thing mainly becasue putting it in some sort of order is odd. Its estalished the Birth by sleep would occur before KH1 & 2 Is the Sequel 1 and CoM is the midquel to 1 & 2 but then so is 358/2 Days and tis just got confusing. I really started thiking this at night when i realised the story developing Chain of memories takes place within 358/2 days. AT the time where Axel, Larxene, Marluxia, Zexion, Vexen & Lexaeus go to Castle Oblivion thats when Chain of Memories begins Axel Takes out Zex & Vex, you beat Marluxia & Larxene with Sora (and lexaus i think, i have yet to beat CoM) Its nuts becasue now its like it goes:
Birth by Sleep, KH1, 358/2 Days, CoM, KH2 but CoM & 358/2 happen at almost the exact same times its like 2 halves its odd but it makes sense. Although it doesnt take away fro what a good game 358/2 is. The gameplay is solid and lacks ATB which i like ( yes i'm all for JRPGS but if you going to give me a sword of decent proportions (stupid proportions in FFVIII) then tell me which button swings it into the enemy that said i still dont get how the kingdom key is considered a blade when its rounded off. Its more like a baton or stick. One final note: why doesnt Sora/Roxas/Xion ever stick the key into an actual lock and turn it, its always perplexed me mainly becasue i see a key as insert it into keyhole and turn to open but i've never seen him do it thought maybe for each world he'd go to, he'd enter an area before it with a giant Padlock on it opend by his key which he uses as a weapon. wow this turned out to be alot of rambling so dont take alot of this seriously, i was just voicing a ramble.

Yeah, i don't blog much. Anyway got a ton of games recently (Acekard2i hehe) and mostly the're rhythm games.
Besides Megaman & Sonic games amongst others, I love music Rhythm games and better still all of the ones on the DS. Now being a heavy DS gamer, i love the use of the touch screen mechanics which is why i got Taiko no Tatsujin DS & Meccha! Taiko no Tatsujin and Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan, Moero! Nekketsu Rhythm Damashii: Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan 2 & Elite Beat Agents (Western Conversion of Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan!). These are games that make great use of the DS touch screen along with an absolutely banging soundtrack to the point where im addicted. The Ouendan Trio, have you touch markers on the screen corresponding to the beat and Taiko no Tatsujin have you drum on the touch screen like an actual drum. Its awesome, the difficulty curve does jump a bit, especially in Elite Beat Agents, but they're great games. the music is catchy and upbeat (Ouendan uses manstream music and Taiko uses a range of Jpop, tv show music, classical, Video game and original music) and its very innovative.
I guess this is me just rambling about a set of games i love but yeah. If you look at my collection you can see it but thats all. I have half term next week (thats a week off) so i'll probably do a proper update blog then as i need to but till then.
BTW SHout outs to RPG Hacker for getting RPG maker 2000 in japanese (ROG Hacker and Maker lool) and it not working (we all hit brick walls but there's a way over it and Yoweeh for planning to go see the korean boy band S.M.Entertainment (interesting name) and it not happening (jeez whats with all the brick walls) but don't worry i say keep moving forward and you'll get what you want eventually.
Last point; Translated names of games:
Taiko no Tatsujin = Taiko: Drum Master
Meccha! Taiko no Tatsujin: 7tsu no Shima no Daibouken = Taiko: Drum Master: Great Adventure of the 7 Islands
Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan = Hey! Fight! Cheer Squad!
Moero! Nekketsu Rhythm Damashii: Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan 2 = Burn! Hot-Blooded Rhythm Spirit: Hey Fight Cheer Squad 2
Just incases ya wanted to know.

Wow, i really havent been active. Work is weighing me down ainly becasue Politics, Sociology and ICT are very demanding subjects that have long essays to accompany and want me to be constantly up to date (mainly in politics, somwhat sociology) meaning that using the book is good for explanations but the examples need to be more recen to get higher marks blah blah blah. It al boils down to school is tooo much work.
That said, if yoju couldn't tell by my title i got 2 games today. Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days and Scribblenauts. KH is awsome, i love the battle style and the story is quite interesting. But scribblenauts supasses everything. its such a smart game, iy does things you wouldn't really expect. the Puzzle elements are great. Its like when your in a puzzle game and you wish you had an item to make it easier. In scribblenauts you have access to all items except you have a limit as to how many you ca and should use and what itme you materialize could be endless but i think the funniest thing is the way maxwell (i think thats his name) is so trigger happy, by that i mean he gos nuts with certain items. For example, when using the chainsaw to cut a tree he swings it wildly but the best is on Town 1-Level 2 where you have to give to guys items they would use in their hands (theres a policeman, fireman, doctor and chef) now i gave the fireman the hose, as expected, but forgot tha to give items you drag and drop onto the target and not giv it to max and he hands it over so when i gave max the frying pan to gove to the chef he inerpreted tha as beatdown the chef with the frying pan. i couldn't stop him but it was hilarious. the game is great. Im still waiting on M&L: BIS and TLoZ: ST to come out so yeah that'll be a while though. hopefully next month. till then
