December is quite possibly the absolute best month ever. For some reason, everyone feels that during this month, as if every other month is different for some reason, is the best month for good will and brotherhood toward all people. Even people who don't even know one another get into the spirit of the season and exuberate joy. With that said, for anyone who wants to maintain this facade, stop reading. For those who want the truth, what the hell is up with the other eleven months?!!! Why is it that Christmas time is the one time of the year where people decide, "oh well, it's Christmas, so I'll let this go". Most people are so jaded and set in their beliefs that they don't even remember what Christmas means anymore. Screw the presents!!! Screw the tree, and the fruit cake, and the false sentimentality too!!! Without Christ, there'd be no Christmas! Now, while this mini tirade was not intended to push religion in any way, shape, or form, what is was intended to do was to get even one person to stop and think about something. Is it really good will toward men if the only reason you're doing it is because everyone else is?

Why does it seem like every year when you go back to school, no matter what grade you're in, it always feels like you have to start everything over. It may just be my school , but from shifting social circles, to new relationships that lasted through summer, to all new people and new things to do around campus, nothing ever stays the same... Until you get to lunch, grab your bag and head for the courtyard to realize that everything is actually exactly where you left it. Your friedns may be joined by a significant other... who may also happen to be one of your good friends, or they may have a few issues to work out with some of the group members, but nevertheless, your group remains intact and the same people you've been with for the first three years of the crazy ride called high school are the same ones, and maybe a few others, who end up with you for senior year. There's nothin like the bonds of brotherhood! For Sparta!!!

I recently spent some time with my mother who doesn' t live with me because my parents are divorced. It was really cool spending time with her and I gotta say, I wasn't quite ready to come back home when I had to. Although I didn't want to go, it actually feels surprisingly good to be back. I guess it's true what t hey say that there's no place like home... crap, I gotta get ready for school now!!!
