After over 20 day, My Xbox 360 will return from its journey tomarrow, July 16th.I am pissed UPS is lazy and doesn't delivery on Saturday...begers can't be chooser I guess.I got my Xbox 360 at launch and it got the ring of death from time to time, but got better until about a month ago it just crapped out. I kinda missed all the bringing it home content which I will be downloading all day tomarrow.
In other news I am working hard to get a new DS Lite. My white DS Lite was stolen at the gym 2 months ago, I filed a police report, but they will never find it. Sadly Pokemon Diamond was in the DS and I must replay it. No good sales have been going on, so I will just break down and buiy a new one this week.
Also I am learning HTML and CSS this week. I am self teaching it and I am so-far impressed with my results. I will post them when i am finished.I am also going to attempt to teach myself C++ and Visual Basic coding next.
MS basicly whipped out a the charts, brought out the "used car saleman" like guy, then shows a few trailers, in which I only like Assassins Creed,Mass Effect and Halo 3.....I mean Scence It and Viva Pinata part game with like JakeT said "Fisher Price controlers". Don't forget about getting Winnie the Pooh in HD.....PLEASE, I wanted the IPTV, new exclusives,65nm cores,prices drops and new features....they failed....luckly they have TGS and X07 to redeem theirselves. Sadly Peter Moore didn't tatoo his forehead or ***.
Nintendo also humped the charts and Screamed "We're EXPANDING THE MARKET!!!!!!" The whole show. Wow we have soccer mom playing our console with their mothers.....COME ON!!!! The gaming communtity doesn't care about mom or grandmas, we care about games. Nintendo took the "game" out of gaming. The big three got around 20 seconds each with no real trailers. Wii Fit is cool, but the onl;y people playing it will be moms and the msot people would rather go to the gym. Nintendo doesn't care about gamers anymore.....Only the fact It will garrentee they will see Wii Fit all over the news and papers.
Sony was the true hero. Sony came in in shining armor with all games.They started with the PSP with God War ,Syphon Filter,Socom,Wipeout,Silent Hill,Sonic,SWAT, and Castlevania.They then show off Home which everyone has too admit it is preety cool. Then the new PSP is shown. I agree,If you own a PSP,It is useless,but good for new owners I guess. But I am a firm beliver.....Any Hardware or new feature to a console is always exciting.
Echocrome was shown next.....very simple,but so elegent. Sony was a machine and kept showing games. Wipeout ,Pain,warhawk,Socom..etc. The NCsoft partnership was cool....can you say Guild War or Tabula Rasa on PS3? UT3 as a timed exclusive was some big news as well as the mods being on PS3. MGS4 was epic.....I can't describe it in words. Raiden-Vamp fight was mindblowing. Jaws dropped Rachet and Clank looked as good as ever and Heavenly Sword looked great. Infamous looks like Crackdown meet City of Heros. GT5 as expected looked amazing and I am assuming the prologe will be the game itself, but with few car and tracks....These will be added via DLC. Killzone 2 easily rivels games like Gears of War or COD4 in the graphic department.
I was extremely underwhelmed with E3 this year. I thought of E3 as a 2nd Christmas also. As a gamer ,excitment would overwhelm often.It seems nothing truely new was made know, only recaps.Yet If this E3 is the E3 of the future, I will still tune it,but expect much less. Hopefully TGS or the companies own event(X07,Spaceworld...etc. will reveil the info we have been wating for.
I give Sony a 7.5/10....The new PSP was underwhelming and no new features for the current PSP or PS3 were planned.
Microsoft get 6/10............. Lots of games,Halo 3 and Assassins Creed owned...Nothing new Xbox 360 console wise, Halo 3 console i ugly.
Nintendo get a 5/10......yep the Wii is selling....to causals and I am still not caring. The annoucement for the relase dates of MP3,SSB:B and SMG helps. Wii Fit look cool, but i will never but it.
