Sorry that I havn't typed a blog in awhile, I have been busy with many
things, including video games! I got a new laptop, and with it I bought
a Christmas set. It only cost $50 and came with Half-life, Half-life 2,
Half-life 2 Episode 1, and Counter Strike! So far im on the last
quarter of Half-life, but I havn't finished it because of the great
things happening on the wii.
With
so many things coming to the wii, life is so exciting! Every monday the
Virtual Console has been updated. I purchaed two wii points cards
recently and download 5 games. So far I have 9 games on VC: Super Mario
Bros., Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr., Solomon's Key, Super Mario 64,
ComixZone, Sonic the Hedgehog, Kid Icarus, and Ice Climber. Ah what joy.
In terms on new games for the Wii, I picked up my pre-ordered copy of
Wii Play (expect a review). I played it and had some fun, but it
actually disappointed me a bit. I also got Super Monkey Ball: Banana
Blitz but have yet to play it.
Also, I downloaded the Everybody Votes Channel, and I love it! I think
it is a brilliant idea. I don't care if the questions are stupid. The
fact is that voting with people around the world is amazing! Hopefully
Nintendo makes more channels like this.
Finally, I finished my review on The Legend of Zelda: Twilight
Princess. I know I didn't give it a ten, and it's strange especially
since I give EVERYTHING a ten. But I think it's time to tighten my
belt and not give out tens as frequently. If every game was a ten, who
would need to read reviews?
So that's the scoop. I'm waiting for more VC games, Mario Party 8, and
the Wii Controller Charge Station. I will work on beating Half-life
and other games. A four day break is coming up, so many eventful
things will happen.

There IS a charge station for Wii controllers, however it is made by Nyko and probably is crap... I was hoping Nintendo would come out with a brand name one... Keep having fun...

Great review...I agree that the boss fights have been woefully un-challenging. I've always wished that the Zelda franchise would incorporate some kind of difficulty system, but the countless other merits of the game far outweigh this flaw.
I'm interested to hear your take on Solomon's Key. I played the crap out of that as a kid, and I'm wondering if it's aged well?
