China BC

DMD Pla

Hors RED

Hello gang! How's it going? Because my birthday was last week, I decided to spend a little bit of my loot to further my ever-growing DVD collection. Gotta have the motion pictures!

So far, I've only watched the first two (Chinatown and Bonnie & Clyde). Both are very impressive films and I am quite glad to have added them into my collection. Chinatown wasn't as good as I remembered it to be, but I must not have been in a noir film mood that day...

The two on the middle tier are both Best Picture winners, and both I have seen only once. With the weekend coming up, I should get a chance to refresh my memory on both. The bottom two westerns I have never seen. Well, nobody's perfect!

In other news, I have a positive work story to share. You see, I work at a grocery store four days a week, another dude works Sat. and Sun., and one of the older men works Wed. However, the weekend guy is a football player and constantly got hurt and had to call off. They might as well have hired me for the weekend!

Thankfully, I just learned that this dude is FIRED! Good riddance to bad rubbish...

That's all folks! Have a good one!

Always refreshing to see justice dished up in the workplace once in a while. Congrats on your new films...enjoy!

The top 4 are great movies. Love the chemistry between Morgan Freeman and Jessica Tandy. Platoon is good, but I love "Full Metal Jacket" better.

Not familiar with the oaters, although I LOVE Red River cereal!

Hi Woolsey, Not sure if I've seen The Horse Soldiers, but I have seen all the others. I agree with BuskieBoy, Full Metal Jacket is alot better than Platoon. I hope you have better luck at the workplace now, my oldest has problems with a kid who thinks he's the boss just because his father is the fire department chief. He bosses all the other workers around and everyone hates him, he of course does nothing.

Congrats on getting all those DVDs. I've seen Driving Miss Daisy and Bonnie and Clyde. I think I've heard that Red River is really good. So, will you be working weekends now?

Hi Woolsey, I've seen the first four, but not the Westerns. Let us know how you like 'em. Everyone should see Platoon at least once, if for no other reason than because it is so often spoofed. (You know which scene I'm talkin' about.)

I missed your B-Day blog I'm such a bad friend. Well anyway those are some pretty good movies. And this may sound rude but that guy deserved to be fired.
