Be warned ye gamers,
For these haiku have spoilers.
Tread at your own risk.

Phoenix Wright was great!
Then the sequel was alright.
The third rocked my socks.

Apollo Justice:
Higher production values
made me quite happy!

7 years later
Phoenix is a welfare case?
That's not cool, Capcom.

And then, where's Maya?
Not even in the flashback?
What is up with that?

I want to be told
What happened to Mia's sis
by Capcom themselves.

She's not a secret!
Phoenix has Kurain power
In the last chapter!

It would have been nice
To see her in the flashbacks.
That's all I'm saying.

Anyway, the game.
The first case set it all up
And was pretty good.

Wocky Kitaki
Stole the show in the second.
Wockyy! Bizzoyyyy, G!

Lost interest on 3.
Put the game down for a month.
It was quite farfetched.

But 4 saved the day
Made it interesting again
With several plot twists

It even cleaned up
The mess left in the 3rd case.
Quite a feat, I say.

In all, it was fine.
Crystal Skull of the franchise.
Which fits pretty well

My review is thus:
7.5 - A good try.
But I miss Maya.

Pros: Snackoos, Wocky
Very interesting last case.
Trucy is charming.

Cons: Mason System?
Case 3. Phoenix is a bum.
No Maya! Scandal!

Thank you for reading
Haiku can be difficult.
It's 5-7-5

A Haiku Review?!
That has got to be one of the most original and awesome blog posts ever!
I just played the first two Phoenix Wright games and I loved both. Never played Apollo Justice though.

I loved that first three Pheonix games, but I haven't played Apollo Justice yet. This means I can't read your haiku.

Now I am sad

Well, that was an innovative reivew. But yeah, I liked Apollo Justice. I thought it better than JFA but worse than the others.

exactly! I enjoyed this game, but sadly it is the weakest in the series The third game is still my best and while Apollo introduced some nice characters, I missed Maya, Mia, Pearly, Edgey and even Franziska

Yeah Apollo Justice was disappointingly bad when I think about it. I mean at least with the old ones, 4-5 cases was enough since they were all enjoyable and beautifully written, with great humor.

This game could have at least added some quantity to the number of cases since it severely lacked in quality. And I'm just comparing it to the first game of Phoenix Wright.

Apollo was just a carbon copy of Phoenix, and not a very sympathetic one either. But I like that they brought back the scientist, all grown up hehe. She even made up for the lack of Detective GumShoe. This all still won't stop me for being excited for the next game though, and also to anticipate the release of Miles Edgeworth's game.

Excellent Haiku review, I have to agree with you, it certainly was disappointing that the game didn't feature any backstory on what happen to Maya in the last seven years. While the new features for the game was pretty neat, the execution with its story, not so much.

Apollo Justice
Does not mean much to me but...
I fall for haiku!

Is this 5-7-5?
