Ladies and gentlemen, I have begun Earthbound.
(Changes have been made to this blog to reflect that I have not acted in any morally reprehensible way whatsoever.)
My (completely genuine!) SNES controller came in the mail today and it works like a glove. .. fits like a charm? Anyway. I feel a bit (fine!) with all this. Maybe I'm (spending!) too much, but I mean, I don't steal music, I buy it from iTunes. I don't torrent movies, I get the DVD. And all my clasisc games I play on the Virtual Console. Earthbound though. Sigh. How hard would it be to just take the SNES version and plop it down on the virtual console? I'd even pay a premium. $10 for a SNES game. I'd do it! Hear that Nintendo? I'd pay EXTRA!

Oh well. It's pointless now. I've got the (original cartidge off eBay, setting me back about a grand!), (law-abiding citizen!) that I am. And I've begun Earthbound. I'm sure many of you have played through it, so I'd ask you all to keep spoilers to a minimum. Having said that, I hear good things. Great things. Things I'm sure nothing could ever live up to. But things, nonetheless. I may or may not be documenting my progress on here. Updating you on how far I've gotten and my thoughts so far. Or I might just play it quietly.
If any of you have any spoiler-free tips of suggestions to optimize my Earthbound experience, I'd like to hear them. Spoiler-free though.
Hey.
You heard me. I see you typing spoilers down there.
No spoilers.

If you have no choice, you have no choice. Enjoy it!
This game is so cool because it's really unique in many ways. Unfortunatelly I didn't make it to the end so I can't spoil you properly! (just kidding)
