Valve are giving Indian gamers the best holiday gift this season. The Orange Box is going to be sold for Rs.999 which puts it at about 25$ if you do a direct conversion which when compared with the US price of 44$ (Rs.1700) is awesome news for any Half-Life fan or any FPS fan in my country. For Indians wondering about the authenticity of the price, I read it at two places and confirmed the price from the Indian distributors for Valve. The previous package I bought which contained HL2, CS: Source, HL: Source and HL2: Deathmatch was about Rs.1299, it was the GOTY Edition and I thought it was very nominal given it was a good package. But this package can be considered a total steal for the games it offers.
And Valve are finally taking the steps I mentioned long ago on this blog that will reduce piracy in India and other developing countries. I mean, buying pirated copies of all these games separately would amount to the same price I think and instead now everyone will get the full package, get HL2, Ep One, Ep 2, Portal and Team Fortress 2 which is said to be awesome and get to enjoy it for as long as they want. And the profit actually goes to the company in this case instead of some guy on the streets. And personally I admire Valve for their work regarding games from HL to HL2 and Steam and the fact that they are coming out with this kind of price for Indians is just awesome for me.
Thank You Valve!

Cool!
I will be getting it no doubt then! Thanx for the news
Will it be out the same time as other places, or will there be some delay?
