Just a note...
Aristotle once said: The worst form of inequality is to try to make unequal things equal.
You CANNOT expect good results from making veterans equal with novices.

Agreed. I think Nintendo should stick to what makes a game 'fun' instead of trying to please both hardcore and casual types. Make 'hardcore' **** for gamers and 'easy-as-pie' **** for impulse buying cassies.

I don't really get the quote (
) but I don't get why people are poo pooing all over Nintendo this year.
They showed some some new Mario games and a Metroid game. What else were you looking forward to?

@Chaos_Bladez
I was excited for Nintendo upon the Wii release. But I never really felt much progression. I'm skeptical towards the MotionPlus but I would love to see it be what Nintendo needs to take me and other players back off the couch.
I'm curious about the new Mario's but not as interested as I am about the new Metroid. It's just what we expect out of the Nintendo game library that seemingly will never be there. With that in mind it would probably be best to stop expecting.

No kidding, which is why I'll never use my sister's Wii (which she's only played twice in 2 months...) except for MAYBE Resident Evil 4.
I think Nintendo will never get into a habit of releasing games regularly. If they did, it would be the same games year after year and everyone would hate them for it.
They need to come up with a solution (about time for some new IPs) but I don't think they will.
No work = HUGE MONEY
Work = Maybe money?

It's funny. I agree with your No Work/Work concept.
It looks like the new WarioWare and Mario vs DK is putting the work of making the game into the players hands xD
Although I own neither a PS3 or Xbox 360 I was generally more interested with their E3 performances. I don't read the same kiddy books that I did when I was young and I generally don't play the same games. God of War 3 looked great. the new Super Mario Brothers game look nostalgic. I guess there might be a point where I have to leave Nintendo behind...?

Like Chess for instance. Experts don't like playing Novices... and Novices don't like playing Experts and trying to find a way to merge them with cheap balancing gimmicks just doesn't fit well with me.
Just posted my blog about the conference. It was ok... everything I expected and then the Metroid announcement just blew me away. Absolutely Amazing... can't wait.
