I had saved a text file of riddles Sunday but soonafter had to work, and since last saturday I've been busy working. I decided 10 riddles might be too much so I decided on five. Here are last weeks results.

1. Wings enviable by any bird, sings it's song louder than any blue jay, shed no feather, has no remorse.

2. All things flee from me, I cannot see you very well, unless you are inside me. The walls circling me are often long reaching and thick. My walls tear apart lives, some I end. If I had any taste it might be a bit salty.

3. Without strings I am but an odd maul. I am often wooden, often plastic, occasionally ceramic. I am often in a room with another similar to myself. Sometimes I am smashed after a climax.

4. You are imperfect. Once upon a time you had shown things as they were. But now you show nothing but a distorted truth. Do you show who I really am anymore? You tell me I am distorted, ugly, strange. I am not what you believe me to be, what are you?

5. My twin by name is adored by the felines. Perhaps adored is overkill but let's just say my twin is often their center of attention when noticed. I myself have a bigger purpose, I navigate. In fact I do not know what owner, stranger, or acquaintance would do without me. Perhaps they wouldn't be reading this now.

Riddles For The Mind
Week 02

1. I grew on a stalk, only to be cut down and mixed with cream. But my destiny had changed. I was taken early, cut up and put in a bag where another would receive me. They found it amusing to heat me up till I couldn't take it anymore and would explode. They then enjoyed eating what is left of my remains and sometimes mixing me with salt and cheese, among other things. What am I?

2. Found in any home but not found in any cave. I listen and I speak. While I am used by but one, there is another partaking in the conversation, one of my kind and one of the kind who uses me. I cannot walk, nor can I see. But easily do I speak and listen. I am?

3. Some will not hear their song without me. I was not used much twenty, or perhaps even ten, years ago. I am in cars, in home, in movie theatres, and a found in a few other places. If I was to play a song alone, perhaps you couldn't hear the snare, the crash, or even the voice. I am indeed challenged. I cannot sing alone. But I can sure cause a rumble.

4. I am wooden, but nowadays you will find me made of other metals and fabrics. But in the 1800's, 1900's, and possibly before then unknown to much of the world, I was wooden. I would be put on a front porch, where other family members or neighbors might join me sitting on others of my kind. With a bit of tilt they could relax. Benjamin Franklin might be accredited.

5. I am fire, I am heat, I am light. You will not live on me, nor will you look at me for too long. I am not ugly, but rather majestic. No man will make me, I exist by nature.
