So last time I was talking about how much I liked NCIS: Los Angeles. And really, I hadn't thought it possible, but I think I just fell even more in love with the cast. It's mostly centered on Callen and Sam--and don't get me wrong, I love those two and their relationship--but the rest of their team is fantastic. Now normally in a show with a bunch of main characters there's at least one that I'm too crazy about. Not with NCIS: LA.

Yeah, in the beginning Nate bugged me and I was iffy on Kensi. But after the third episode I found I really do like those two as well. Nate's moment with Dom after the dead kid in the bathroom was really sweet. And I liked the scene between Nate and Eric when Eric's at his desk and Nate comes in and watches him watch the computer screen and says something about him being the kind of guy who presses the elevator button a bunch of times because he thinks it'll make it go faster. And I liked Kensi's "the first date is the last date" scene. She doesn't have much to do, but she's beautiful and so far not annoying, so I like her.

I think I like that cast way too much. But they're all so adorable and awesome, how can you *not* like them?

So besides my complete love and adoration for NCIS: LA, I started new shows. One of them was planned, Trauma, and the other was an accident, Glee.

I heard about Trauma during the summer and put it on my list without looking too hard at it (a show about paramedics, of course I'm in) and then a few weeks before it started I looked at the cast list. And I found out that Cliff Curtis was in it. I haven't actually seen most of his stuff, but I saw Push a while ago and I really liked it, and I loved his character Hook Waters (yeah, that was his name, what about it?), despite the fact that he only had a small role to play. So I was psyched about the show and hoping like hell it wouldn't disappoint. And I am frelling happy to say it was great! I love his character, Rabbit (what is with this guy and his weird names?) and I like most of the other cast as well.

It's funny, I hear people complaining that the show is just like Third Watch, well I've seen Third Watch and while yes, they are halfway about paramedics, they also have the cops and the firemen in the story. And then I go look at the TW boards and people are btching that TW is a ripoff of another show.

I had watched about ten/fifteen minutes of Glee about a week or two after it first aired on tv on the Hulu website. It didn't really grab my attention and I eventually abandoned it. But I was bored the other night and I finished the episode. It was interesting, something new (ie not another cop show) and it made me laugh, so I watched the second episode and the 3rd. I'm still behind, but I plan on catching up when I have time.

I have to admit I've pretty much given up on Heroes unless I'm bored or out of shows to watch. I barely finished the first episode, and then only skipped through to the scenes with Samuel. I like him, but I'm not sure I'll watch the show for him. I read a recap for the 2nd episode, and I'll probably only keep tabs on the show that way for now. I also have a confession to make. I didn't watch the 2nd episode of Dollhouse. I hadn't heard great things about it, and I just couldn't bring myself to watch, so I went and read a recap on televisionwithoutpity.com and it didn't impress me. I'm not sure if I'll be watching Dollhouse anymore either. I guess I'll see what happens.

Oh, right, how could I forget. I actually have another new show: Stargate Universe. Which was admittedly a show I was planning on staying away from. I saw cast photos and heard stuff about it and I really wasn't interested. But somehow, like always, I ended up watching the pilot episode. It wasn't great, and I have issues with some of the cast, but I liked it. Enough that I'll keep watching. I miss Stargate SG1/Atlantis, although I only really watched the last 2 season of SG1 for Cameron Mitchell (not a big fan of the show before then, and while RDA is funny, he's not the best).

I absolutely despise Rush's character on Universe, there's nothing redeemable about him. Besides him, I don't like that Wray chick (at least I think that's her name). Everyone else was either blah or likeable. Yes, Greer has issues, but so far he hasn't done anything to make me not like him. And he's kind of cute. I like Scott, and I like Young. Eli's awkward, but I appreciate his enthusiasm, despite the eye-rolling over his getting into the stargate program because of a video game (i mean, really? REALLY?). The woman, Tabatha, TJ, something like that, hasn't show a lot of personality, but I'm thinking I may end up not liking her. Chloe was annoying as hell, god what is with this show and their inability to write acceptable female characters? (especially when they have so many). I don't care if it sounds cruel or btchy, but I am so glad they killed her dad, he was terrible. Oh, and Lou Diamond Philips wasn't even really there. But I still didn't like him. You know what? Figuring out which characters I liked and didn't just made me realize that if this show isn't at least good, I can't watch, considering I hate about half the cast. Damn.

I believe that's all right now, besides still catching up on True Blood (yeah, I know, I'm slow, but I don't actually watch tv 24/7 or even all day).

Glee is fun but I won't watch it... it's one of the better new shows this fall though. I love the songs, but I don't think I could ever love the show and I'd rather spend my time catching up on other shows. Other than that I haven't watched any of the shows on your list so I can't really comment on that. Enjoy True Blood and all the other shows

New blog! Woohoo. Your are on a roll!

Wow, you like everyone in NCIS:LA, that's really rare, for me too. I haven't seen Trauma or Third Watch yet... Or Three Rivers for that matter. At least Trauma, I plan to give a try. Glad you like it. I can't comment on the rip-off thingy though... I am with you on Glee. I like it, much better than I thought I would, but I am behind as well. It can be fun though, I agree. I haven't seen Heroes this year either or Dollhouse episode 2. You telling me it is unimpressive doesn't help either... I might eventually catch up on it but I am bored sometimes as well. There is a lot of stuff piling up for me and I lack the urge to watch it. But it shouldn't feel like a chore, right? So, I'll just see what happens. I read in a blog that many people put shows on "limbo", meaning to ditch them for now... I think I do too... Oh, Stargate. A huge project, I don't know nothing about... Sorry you dislike so many... I am with you, though, great female characters are rare in comparison and I am always happy to come across some. Have fun with True Blood, no rush, you'll have plenty of time till next season. I read on twitter that Southland is canceled, do you know whether this is true? I don't know the show but it would suck since you are looking forward to it...

This is so off, but who is that middle dude in your banner? He looks so familiar.

The guy in the very middle is Joseph Fiennes. It's the cast of FlashForward.

Daria: I'm not so much into the singing, I hate musicals, but I like some of the songs. Thank you.

Ela: I've heard of Three Rivers, but I'm not into medical dramas. I've watched a few episodes of Grey's Anatomy, and while entertaining, it's not really my thing.

Someone's always complaining that a show is a ripoff. It gets annoying. And there is a big difference between similiar and ripoff.

Yeah, watching tv really shouldn't be a chore, considering it's for having fun/relaxing. Sometimes I have a hard time dropping shows, but I know it's not worth it if I'm bored. Honestly I'd rather no female characters at all, since hardly any of them are decent, but female watchers get all upset when there aren't enough women in their shows, so I have to suffer through. I'm not sure I feel *that* strongly about most of the SGU characters I don't like, because when I was watching it was enjoyable.

I just heard about Southland too. I guess NBC doesn't want it, but the people behind the show are looking for a new home, so hopefully they'll find a network willing to take it on. And I hear Michael Cudlitz is serious pssed off about the cancellation.

Well sometimes musicals are less awesome cause the music isn't as good, but Glee choses some really great songs.

Right, I don't like that rip-off talk either. I don't think I will watch Trauma or Mercy or Three Rivers (which still shockingly are in the same category for me ) but I thought I'd watch the pilots maybe. LOL, no females at all? Not even as love interests? Are you not one for the unresolved sexual tension thingy? I'll keep my fingers crossed for a network change. I heard MC vented on twitter, that gets more and more common. Actually, the whole discussion makes ME want to see Southland. Have a nice weekend!!

Not really. I hate the back and forth crap between male and female characters and their unresolved sexual tension. And when they just introduce a character to be a love interest, that relationship generally changes the characters I like and the friendships they have come second to the woman.

You should see Southland (all 7 episodes of it), it's a pretty good show. I'm really hoping for a network change.
