This weekend was pretty boring so I hit the movies with some friends and after seeing Paranormal Activity and Zombieland, I had to write a blog. Now as some of you guys know already I love horror. Well when the trailer for this movie said it was the scariest of the decade and all the people I know who went to see it said it was amazing, I had to check it out. Now, for those of you who do not know what this is yet, let me help you out: Paranormal Activity is an indie flick that managed to scary the living crap out of people using the Blair Witch-esque type of film. The movie doesn't really scare you as much as I thought. Now, I'm not a ghost/spirit/demon-believing individual but this movie gave me some straight chills. The idea of sleeping in your bed at night and having a demon spirit totally wreck your world, I had to see it. Needless to say I didn't get nightmares (though I wish I did!) but the movie left me breathless because the creep-status of this movie is off the scale. Now, I'm planning a trip to Jerome, AZ where there's a very haunted hotel and I'm wipping out a oujia board.

Zombieland was the next flick in my persuit. Those of you should know I love zombies as well so I definitely wanted to see this first. I managed to get to see it after Paranormal Activity and I gotta be honest with you, if you plan on seeing both, watch Zombieland first because after the spook-ness of Paranormal Activity this movie didn't do too much but make me chuckle. Naturally even the most funny zombie movies have some scares but Zombieland really based it's wacked-out romance tale toward the humor and fun-ness of zombie killing. This should be a natural win for zombie gamers but for me it was nothing more than a movie that made me wish the apocalypse was happening sooner than the expected 2012.
Overall, these two movies were 8+ and I definitely recommend seeing 'em both! Signing off.

Obviously I haven't been on, yet again, in awhile and I haven't posted a single blog. I was going insane on blogs and activity on here back in March - June but that was only because I was kicked out and had nothing else to do at the place I lived at during that time period. I did mention in one of my old posts that it was possible that I would jump on as much and obviously this is proof.

So everyone's got their addictions right? Well I have a pretty hardcore one too. I've been doing too much extasy and raving and my partying has gotten out of control again in the past couple months and it's stupid because that's what I got kicked out for back in March and I fixed it then - I just got wrapped up in it again. So a couple weeks ago I decided to stop, I had a withdrawl recently. I'm currently trying to fix what's wrong with me. I'm sitting here wanting to become a musician (DJ primarily) but I'm blowing my money on all of these drugs. My friend OD'd on me just last night. I can't handle this because I'm watching so many people get hurt. It's not worth it.

Now I'm a very passionate person about music because music literally saved me from nearly commiting suicide back in my freshmen year when I went through a really weird stage of my life. Now, I have a strong passion for DJing and I absolutely love techno and I want to be able to get people moving like no other DJ will ever do because I see and hear everything that goes on at raves and clubs, a lot of DJs just don't deserve to be up there. I'm trying my best now to save up my money because this is everything I want to do and I'll put everything I got into it. Plus I may possibly get signed by an indie label out here in Phoenix with my acoustic guitar. So, there's some opportunities coming up here soon with music and I hope to get where I've always wanted to be. Fame before money!

Of course, I still have to game. The only problem is that I haven't found a good one in awhile till finally I decided to try out Darkfall which is a game I started watching back in 2005. Let me just say that the graphics absolutely suck and the network isn't always 100% amazing, but the game is phenominal and I'm absolutely addicted. I haven't been this addicted since freakin' Everquest back in '98! So I really recommend anyone who is looking for a new MMO check out Darkfall online. Name's Daddy Dearest.

I managed to start playing Gears of War 2 on the Xbox and I'm really trying to get as good as I used to be. Hell, if I was #1 in the world once, maybe I could do it again? Nah, haha. I'm getting my butt kicked on there. But if there are those of you who want to stay in touch I'm on there from time to time. My Xbox Live name is Steve Didit.
That's all I pretty much got guys, take care.
Sorry I've been gone for so long, it's been hectic with the work and raving. Like, I get home at like 6-8pm at night after working for like a 12 hour shift and it's hard labor so it's like super tiring. I kinda miss the open people here on GS. So I will really try to get some actual blog posts up again.
