Remember how I mentioned several months back in a previous blog that The Muppets were returning? Well, it is OFFICIAL. With the 40th season of Sesame Street sweeping clouds away in November, Fraggle Rock: The Movie being in the production phase (after being in pre-production for ages) alongside a laundry list of related merchandise so vast that it would "curl your baloobius", and Stoller and Segal finally getting the greenlight for their re-imagining of a film that returns The Classic Muppets to their roots...the Muppet family is back in business and hopefully, better than ever before (or at the very least, better than most of the post-2004 things involving Jim Henson's creations)!
"The Rainbow Connection" is back!
*in Kermit-waving-arms mode* YAAAAY!
Comments
Speckledorfed: Aren't they? *laughs at them some more*
DemonSlayerZea: Here's to hoping. *hopes*
The_Silverfoxx: Alright, indeed. *high fives*
*prays for Jerry Nelson--best known now as Sesame Street's Count--to be in good health to perform Gobo, Majory The Trash Heap, and Pa Gorg in the FR film (as his health isn't so great at present, given battles with cancer & heart troubles), alongside Karen Prell as Red, Kathryn Mullen as Mokey and hopefully Cotterpin Doozer, Dave Goelz as Boober and "Travelling" Uncle Matt and Philo/Gunge, Steve Whitmire as Wembley and Sprocket & possibly Cantus or Convincing John [after all, he does do most of Jim's top characters], Gerry Parkes as Jerome "Doc" Crystal--yes, the kindly old inventor is still alive after all these years, all be it probably retired--and somebody to take the late Richard Hunt's priciple character, Junior Gorg*
SD: Alright! Quiet on the set! *exasperated Kermit-esque sigh*
pferra: As the forthcoming Muppet movie is said to be an idea pulled from Jim himself and Jerry Juhl--THE Muppet writer--before both died, it should be good. No promises, though.
