For all the hype and pompous claims of gaming euphoria...Gears of War delivers...I don't know how...but it is one of the most thrilling gaming experiences I have ever had.

Fans of Halo would argue that this game is trying to cash in on the marketing style of their precious game...they are wrong. Gears of war is amazing on it's own...it does not need books to back it up, it does not have funny little graphical errors or wierd gameplay compromises...it just is a amazing game.

I really had to try to want to buy this game...I tend to veer away from games that are given so much exposure over the coarse of a couple of years...but it seems that CliffyB and the folks at epic really do understand what gamers want.

Gears does not have a amazing story...in fact it is a thin as halo...but it does not lie to the buyers by saying that it is so much more...it does not require players to buy a few books that are really only going to be read by a bunch of obsessed fanboys...this game has a thin story but it actually developes and you do care.

I can go on and on...but I think that we have a new king in town...Gears of War is gaming bliss...not the best that I have played...but the best we will see in a long time.
