...of my 360.

It isn't a red ring though, my problem is that the thing doesn't want to read and load any games or anything I put into the drive. I have done my research to see what the problem is specifically and there has been maybe a washer or something stupid that has been removed and thus, the DVD drive doesn't function right. The last time I got to play my 360, I was playing GTAIV and COD4 and I have to admit, there was some strange noises being made but it didn't affect loading times and both games played very smoothly. I honestly didn't think there was a problem and the noise wasn't being made during COD4 so I just assumed it was because GTAIV streams a lot of information. I actually wasn't the last one who played the 360 though and this is the annoying and frustrating part. My older brother was playing the 360 last but I honestly believe him that it wasn't his fault. He said he could play the game but the loading times were bad and the game eventually crashed and displayed a dirty disc message. He tried to watch a DVD but he said that crashed too. When I was told this, I was intially annoyed as you can imagine but I thought I'd give it a go myself. My 360 just doesn't read anything. My safest bet is to contact Microsoft rather than opening up my 360 and being rather ridiculous. Ahh well, now I have nothing to play. Ah well... I got you PC...

yea the glue holding that washer down melted form all of the heat produced from your system, and the magnetized drive cover pulled it to the top, if your warranty is ran out it will cost you a $100 repair charge, or you can smack the top of your 360 to knock the washer back down if you're lucky. other solutions would be to open the bad boy up and manually spin the disk, my friend on here redhead had to do that for a while, but eventually it broke all together, so the final solution was to purchase a new drive with all of the same information and reinstall it. which it now runs perfectly. so that's all of the solution methods i know of, hope it helps.

Ok thank you for the advice. I heard the warranty is for 3 years but I also heard that it is only 3 years if I had the RRoD. Is this true?

I know your pain, but uh...would you like to get some TF2 going since your turning to the PC for the time being?

@ffgothic: Sure I just didn't like the loading times in TF2 a bit of a nightmare. I haven't played it properly since the crazy updates so it will be very interesting!
Thanks for the comments guys and thanks cky1451
