Previous Installments of PSN Needs...
Part 1: Intro | Part 2: Messaging and the Inbox | Part 3: Status Options | Part 4: Cross Game Chatting | Part 5: Giftability | Part 6: Trophy Syncing | Part 7: Profile Cards | Part 8: PSN Messaging Via Web

- Online Community/Website -
The current playstation website has evolved from being nothing to do with your PSN account to having more interaction with it. You log in with it to access the site and the forums. You can do trophy stuff like compare with friends or stalk people that aren't on your friend's list. But that's really about it.
Like I mentioned yesterday, being able to send messages to friends who are online on PSN is a needed feature.
But what about news? Updates? Posting the playstation blog there? Quick links to stuff like network status? A PSN downtime maintenance schedule?
The PSN community feels disjointed. A community website where you can set up tournaments that are open to anyone would be great. Stuff like that. To follow up on this more, the next feature discussion will mention more that can be worked into the Online Community.
Monday's Feature Discussion - Game Nights
Stay tuned fellow gamers.
If you have a feature that you feel should be included in this series, pm vix and she'll look to see if it isn't already on her list. If it isn't, she'll add it and discuss it at a later date.

Just a quick warning, I know for a fact that European Playsation site does have game nights on several different games. I'm not sure about the US site but you might want to check it out.

A PSN downtime maintenance schedule would be good..
Yesterday really caught me off guard. A little "community spirit" really wouldn't hurt, and holding tournaments and such is a really good idea!

@PJ24 If they do on the US site, I have no idea where. Don't forget, you guys were the first to get the trophy cards so it doesn't surprise me you have game nights.
