Just to follow up on my blog introducing you to the 3rd largest production centre for TV/Film productions in North America, I would like to highlight the three largest film studios in Vancouver. I'll show a photo of each one followed by a few of the recent productions that are currently or have been filmed there.
Vancouver Film Studios
Vancouver Film Studios (VFS) is a state-of-the-art production site featuring the finest in sound stages and office space, and outfitted with the latest in technical support.

Recent Productions - Battlestar Galactica, Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, Dark Angel,I Robot, Paycheck, X-men 2, Elf, Final Destination, Edison (Upcoming Movie)
The Bridge Studios
People all over the world rave about the great outdoors and stunning film locations of British Columbia. They offer the great indoors, where you can create a location that's out of this world.

Recent Productions - Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, Jeremiah, Dead Like Me, Outer Limits, Blade 3, Scary Movie 3, Ecks vs Server, 13 Ghosts, 40 Days and 40 Nights, Two for the Money (Upcoming Movie)
Lions Gate Studios
Located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada,
Lions Gate Studios combines state of the art studio
facilities

Recent Productions - Battlestar Galactica, Tru Calling, Dark Angel, X-Files, Milenium, Sixth Day, Scary Movie 3, Catwoman
, Reindeer Games, Freddy vs Jason
This is just a sampling of the productions that have been shot in and around the province of British Columbia. It's a growing industry and I'm very proud to promote it whenever I can.
Just to sum up the Sci-Fi City title. Vancouver currently films Battlestar Galactica, Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis and The 4400. Other non Sci-Fi shows include The Dead Zone and my favourite Smallville!!.
I'll be keeping everybody updated on local TV/Film productions in the city of Vancouver for future blog posts.

Yeah, I didn't realize how many shows were filmed in Vancouver either.

Man, those places look huge. No wonder so many shows are filmed there.

. In future blog posts I will continue to keep everybody updated on TV/Film projects in the city.
For all you Smallville fans I'll dig up some local photo shots that you'll recognize from the show. Me and friend actually had a run in with a few of the stars last year at a local coffee house. I must say that was one exciting experience!!
