Hairspray is the heartwarming story of a girl looked down upon for her size, but Tracy Turnblad doesn't let that stop her dreaming of being on the Corny Collins Show. When Tracy makes it on the show, she encounters a series of intense political and social roadblocks that teach her about the most important things in life. Hairspray is a beautiful film with a poignant message that will make you want to get up and dance.

Butterfly on a Wheel (called Shattered in the US) is a fairly average suspense film that is nevertheless well-constructed and also well-acted. With an all-star cast including Gerard Butler, Maria Bello, and Pierce Brosnan, the film moves at a fast, tight pace and will definitely keep you interested and attentive. The ending seems a little contrived, but if you're a fan of any of the actors or want to see a fairly straightforward and simple movie, put this on your list.

My Fellow Americans is an absolutely hilarious movie. There is no other way to say it. The acting is spot on, the pace is fast and funny, and the plot is exciting without being ridiculous. You'll laugh the whole way through.

There's a reason Stephen King is the Master of Horror, and this movie shows that he is still up to the challenge. Frank Darabont, the writer and director, has worked on many Stephen King features before and he knows how to present the writer's often wacky ideas in a very appealing manner. The ending of the film will absolutely blow you away, and while the explanation of the strange events falls on the boring side (it is a little cliche), this story isn't about why, but who, making it an unusual combination of genuinely frightening and incredibly moving at the same time.
