All I was doing today was help out. An account that couldn't be done so I figured why not, I have the time. I can help. I got to China town at about 8:30 am and managed to find street parking. Went to do my job and when I got back. My work truck got broken into. They searched the glove box the ash tray and where ever else. I was away from the truck for about an hour and I guess that's all they really needed. I'm sure they went after my Messenger bag, that was full of nothing but Men's health, and various Video Game magazines.

Though what they did manage to find and walk away with was my Nintendo DS and my games. Two of which I received for Christmas. I was looking forward to have my DS to keep me company for a trip to Jamaica that my employers are sending me on. It always a SNAFU when I help my co-workers. I should just be like everybody else and take care of my responsibilities and let everybody else take care of their own stuff.

So I'm in a bad mood and looking for a replacement DS and replacement copies of the games I got for Christmas and a few that I really liked. I'll try to keep it "under my hat" so not to ruin the "season" for anybody. Though I do need to vent so I do it here.

Oh on top of that, My Call of Duty 4 Profile vanished last night too. So, no more level 55, hello level 1.

Lately I’ve been playing Civilization 4: Beyond the sword, Lord of the Rings online, and Pokémon Pearl. Most people would know that LorRO has taken most of my time. So far I’ve enjoyed what I’ve seen and it’s a good game. Needless to say, it hasn’t blown me away. Then again, World of Warcraft didn’t blow me away, hell I signed up in 2004 and the game pissed me off the first few months. System wide lag pauses that lasted for up to 5 minutes at a time were unacceptable.

To be honest the only MMO that really floored me and was uber fun, was City of Heroes. Though the fun factor did die out pretty quickly and the lack of things to do got me to quit. Though the ability to take out rooms of HUNDREDS of low level lackeys (and still gets xp per kill to boot). Vanguard and EQ2 were cool, but I got them early and both were buggy. EQ, Vanguard, and Final Fantasy Online had the same problem for me. After a while, if I didn’t have 4 hours to spare and a full party, I really couldn’t play.

Now my new waste of Money, LorRO. It really feels like it’s geared for a one player experience. So much so it’s almost impossible to get a party going when you do need it. Not a bad thing as I usually can only play a few hours at a time, and half the time I’m “playing” I’m multitasking. Though I wasn’t going to make a “real” judgment till I hit about level 20. I’m looking forward to actually playing Beyond the sword instead of just installing it. Not to mention, Pokémon is pretty damn fun. A game like that seems like something I wouldn’t play but I needed something to kill anywhere from 5 min to 2 hours of dead time. Yea my job is like that.

Oh one last thing, when you install beyond the sword you gets a thing called Gamespy comrade. What’s the deal with the Gamespy Comrade thing? It’s like an anti X-Fire. No problem with that, but having more than one splits the community. Not like my X-fire community has been pretty busy. Still, makes it very hard to recommend something when you have two options now, not to mention Windows Live about to enter the game.

Since the 360 came out, it was my system of choice. I like the idea of Xbox Live, and how Xbox live and Windows live is merging I was about ready to pick one up as soon as I had a list of games. My brother picked one up a few months ago and I picked him up Dead Rising for his birthday on the 13th.

What did we find out today? The game has illegible text on Standard Television sets. I looked it up on the web, and it’s been a problem since launch, and Capcom doesn’t care to fix it. That’s just lazy; they didn’t bother testing the game on normal TV’s then didn’t want to fix it. Thank gawd Capcom doesn’t venture in my beloved PC options often.

Looking on the web it seems like it shows up on a few other games. So I’ll wait.

Also I was harping on MMO’s a while ago, but I picked up Lord of the Rings Online. I didn’t open an account but Best Buy had a good sale, I figured ah what the hell. I also reinstalled World of Warcraft.

In any case, I’m looking forward to Beyond the Sword next week.

Some people just don't have opinions. Like Vengentz.
Vengentz must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could Vengentz possibly have for not rating a single film?
