I find Abby to be such a kooky character on NCIS, and it makes it all the more interesting that she is based on her actress. Perrette brings a truly unique character to a show with an equally diverse cast. Besides being cute as a bug's ear, she adds a child-like quality that brings balance to Gibb's mature, military focus. She is possibly the first goth to hold a major position in a popular crime drama... especially one dealing with the military. Every detail to her character (from the super-large drink and the sign language, to the thrill for dramatics and loud heavy metal music) brings a new dimension to drime drama.
Her fashion sense rocks, too!
