Oh man, yesterday was so much fun. I mostly hung out with my friends (those with and without dates). First, we ate some "hor d'ouveres," such as cheese & crackers, chips & dip, and little pizza slices. Then, once we were on the dance floor, we played limbo with a balloon string, which attracted the attention of some other acquaintances. I recorded about 10 minutes of this limbo. Man, a lot of my friends could really bend! Afterwards, we ate dinner together. The food was alright; there was eggplant rollitine, tortellini in cream sauce, steamed vegetables, mashed potatoes, some Chinese food, biscuits, etc. I didn't eat too much, though, because I was pretty full from the hor d'ouveres. Desert was some vanilla ice cream with toppings of our choice, such as M&M's or sprinkles. Finally, the most fun and exhausting part of prom was the dancing. At first, I was uncomfortable dancing by myself. However, once I began dancing with one of my friends Kevin (who didn't have a date) we attracted the attention of two girls. So we danced together. Then, we started to dance with other people in the crowd, and I became a small hit due to my crazy fast movements and long swinging hair. Honestly, the only aspect of prom that bothered me was the slow-dancing portion. I didn't have a date, so I didn't dance with anyone. However, I did pretend to dance with an invisible date, which spurred some laughter from my friends. Eventually, prom ended at 11:30 PM, and we were taken back to our school. From there, we went home.
All in all, prom was exhaustively enjoyable. I'm looking forward to next year's senior prom, but this time I'm going to bring a date for that party!
