My old hometown, where I grew up used to be a place where I would do anything to be. I would not have a connection to the town I'm living in now, but only to my old hometown. That was last year. Then I would've given up my everything to go back to the way things were. I would never go back even if the opportunity presented itself.

Now, timesachange, almost all of my good friends have changed for the worse. They used to be people whom I could place trust upon, but now they're just some self-centered druggies, that only care about partying or where the party's at. I used to love these people. I still have four good ones left, which will not change.

I don't understand how people change. Who knows why this affecting me so, I just don't know...

I know exactly how you feel, I hope things get better for you.

It's normal to feel as you do and what you feel is compassion and yet you feel disdain as well. Some people just do not know when to grow up.

In life there will always be changes it's how you handle change that makes you who you are. Maybe some of those old friends are in a bad spot now but later they might wake up and become good people. We all fall but it's the fact that you want to get up and walk straight that is the key.

I hear ya, probably a major reason why I don't have a lot of friends, they all ( many of them) kinda went off the deep end and never recovered. However, the friends I do have, the 3 or 4 REALLY great friends, are ones I would never trade in for ANYTHING!

Thank you guys. It's just weird to watch people screw themselves over so easily, when one of them, four months ago, was a wonderful person. I'm pretty sure I won't see that person she really is...
It's life...

I know this doesn't really help but I'm sure you'll be able to find more friends in your town, plus you'll meet some great people at college. It's hard to lost the people you're closest to but it's a part of life, and you know that. It's just hard sometimes.
