So I wake up this morning to my brother telling me that the wheels on my car have been stolen. AWESOME! Nah, not really. There is no emotion known to man that could describe how angry I was after finding that out. My car has been at his work for repairs (blown head gasket, DOUBLE AWESOME!). Now my Torq Thrust II's are gone! My camaro seems to be a breeding ground for bad luck. Anyone who knows a thing or two about those rims, they know they're not cheap. Luckily my insurance company is going to cover the cost in full. Still, this stuff apparently happens all the time, but you never really get too worried about it until it happens to you. When it does, it sucks... bad.
Enough of the bad, let's get to the good. I sold my X360 for a PS3. Okay, maybe that's not good for some people, but for me it is. I also bought the Orange Box for PC (finally). I don't need to tell anyone how much that rocks though. I also picked up LoZ: Phantom Hourgalss for DS. Best DS game I have played yet, hands down. I only bought one game for PS3, which is Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga, because I have an unhealthy obsession for Star Wars. A buddy of mine loaned me a few goodies as well. Resistance, Viking, and Uncharted are among the noteworthy titles I am trying out. I also saw Nile on their N. American tour last wednesday. Although it has nothing to do with videogames, it was still the best show of my life. Nile is by far my favorite band, and seeing them live after so many missed oppritunities just made my life.
I also bought a new bass with my tax refund. I was gonna bank it, but I really needed a new one and all of my bills/rent/payments were in check, so I splurged a little. It's an ESP LTD F404. Not too expenxive compared to some of the other basses I wanted to try (Warwick. F your outrageous cost. $4325 for the thumb!? yous crazy!). It's pretty much the same as my current bass, the F205, which is a cheaper 5 string version. The 404 will also be the first neck-thu body guitar I have ever owned. I love teh sustain and sick tone this thing produces. A nice low, clean growl. Now it's time to start saving for that 8x10 and SVT4-Pro so I can really bring the walls down.... and the house..... and my neighbors house....
My top ten most anticipated games of 2008. This list is subject to change.
