In long distance running I came in 21st place out of 500 kids in my age group. We were running 3.1km. there was soo much hills, and there was one high sand hill in the begaining that took soo much energy.  Well i did good and I only had 2 practises.

Interesting....I also had a Cross Country race today, but it was 3 miles, not 3 km....I didn't come in the front, but I was around...

I ran cross country in junior high, it built my endurance up although many times I felt like quitting. Hang in there, eventually you will build a life long talent. Now I am twice as old and still can run 6 min miles or even distances over 10 miles long. The conditioning in cross country helped me through varsity sports in high school (swimming and water polo), and eventually allowed me to accomplish ultra-endurance training in the Army (Ranger school).

Best of luck, and stop by my page to post!!
