Here's hoping for a speedy repair!

To be honest, this will be the second time my 360 is up on blocks. around a year and a half ago the drive in my original, store-bought 360 lunched, on the very same night that the playstation 3 launched. It took around a week or two then, so at the moment, I'm optimistic. Thanks for the well wishes.

The second time I had to send in my 360 for repairs, MS sent me a brand new unit (with that fancy new chip). Hopefully, you get the same treatment. Hopefully, that fancy new chip works.

Eddie, prior to reading your and Stanley's blogs, I went through the customer service process via the web site, so I didn't get the white boy version of the extra creepy racial profiling. In hindsight, kinda wish I had.
How long did your replacement take? Presently I'm bracing for a 4-6 week turnaround. Which is really gonna eat into my GTA4 time.

Oh hey, the first time my Xbox broke down, I didn't wait for MS to send the shipping box to me. I sent the unit directly to the MS repair office (shipping cost like 12 bucks) and they sent a working (refurbished) unit to me within a week. Pretty good, that's.
When THAT unit started having issues, I decided to wait for the shipping box to save some $$. I think reporting the incident the week before the Thanksgiving holiday had something to do with the delay, but it took them 15 days just to send me the damn box! After that, it took them about two weeks to send me a brand new unit dated 11/17/07, so I assume it has the Falcon chip. So far, so good. Good luck.
