Yep, today is my birthday. Those of you who know me well already know how old I am. For those of you who don't, you can probably figure it out since I left hints about my age in my previous blogs. Anyways, this is a big birthday for me and I'm already feeling nostalgic about my past years. Probably not a good sign
.
Time for the usuals. I moved up two levels since my last blog and I'm now a level 61, Gold Monkey. I love the monkey icon. I've also gained two new editorships. One is Glenn Martin, DDS, the new claymation show for Nick@Nite. For some reason, people really hate this show. I don't think it's that bad. It's no masterpiece by any means. So yeah, if you are going in expecting the meaning of life, then you're going to be disappointed. You have to take it for what it is. The other one that I have obtained is The Nostalgia Critic. This editorship is actually the first one that I have submitted myself. So, a big thanks to Nilla for helping me through the process! This one, by far, is one of my top two favorite and most prized editorships that I have. This web show, which can be found on ThatGuyWithTheGlasses.com, is a review show where the Nostalgia Critic reviews older shows and movies from the 80s and 90s. It is one of the funniest shows that I have seen in a long time, and I've been following it since April of last year. It's like the Angry Video Game Nerd, for those of you who are familiar with his work. I suggest that those of you who haven't seen The Nostalgia Critic, to go and watch an episode or two. I'm sure that you will enjoy it.
Also, I've changed my banner since my old one is not available anymore. It's sad, but changes need to happen every now and then. Although, I think the tv.com staff takes this philosophy a little too far.
Well, that's about it for right now. Not much else to say. I've got plans tonight, of course, so I might not be available for the rest of the day. I'll try to check in before tomorrow, but if I don't get to your PMs you know why. Anyways, Laterz!
Wow, I just realised a little while ago that I haven't blogged the entire summer. For that I apologise, but I've been pretty busy lately. Mostly my job has kept me occupied, as well as my submitting here at tv.com. Speaking of which, I better get the usuals out of the way.
So, the last time I blogged I believe I was level 53, well now I'm level 59, and hopefully I'll get to level 60 by the weekend. That also means that I have the Silver Top 100 trophy icon. I also have been made the TC of Cheers. Special thanks to Carolee99 for that! I also have added another 8 shows to my list. The Fabulous Life of, H2O: Just Add Water, Father Knows Best, and The Bozo Super Sunday Show. The other four are a little more important to me. Not only are they ongoing shows (a first for me), but they are also really famous shows too. Not that my other shows weren't famous, it's just these are shows that most people remember. Anyways, they're Dr. Phil, Sesame Street, Extra, and Daisy of Love. Dr. Phil and Sesame Street will take some time to straighten out, they're both missing some of their recent seasons, but Extra will take a very long time. This show has over 4,500 episodes, and I've only now added little over 1,400 episodes, and that's not including cast or crew. On the bright side, this will provide me with enough submissions for a very long time. I've got another couple of shows that I'm adding to right now, but other than those I've been just adding to my Extra guide.
Anyways, today was my first day of school and it wasn't too bad actually. I had English 102 and Environmental Biology. I wasn't looking too forward to English, mostly since she was a really tough Professor and due to her workload, we went from 30 students to 7. Luckily I was the only one to get an A and it seemed to have impressed her since she was pretty nice to me this time around, and she even acknowledged my success today, sort of. It's always good to have the Professor on your side. Biology was pretty good too. The Professor was very friendly and very easygoing. Later on we will be going on several field trips related to our labs, and in college that's a nice plus to have. Tomorrow I have Sociology and Political Science, with the same Professor that my dad had.
Since school has started, I won't be online as often as I had, but I'lltry to keep in touch as much as possible. Good luck to all of you who are starting school and I hope you give it your all! Until next time, Laterz!
Well, I got back yesterday, but I was too worn out from travel to really do much. There are a few things that I would like to address first though. So, my vacation blogs will start in a couple of days and will be back-to-back too.
First, the latest Naruto manga. Unfortunately, I did not have a laptop with me on my vacation and had to use my phone to access the Internet, so I'm sorry that I really couldn't keep in touch with some of you. However, I did find out about the latest Naruto manga and was, at first, very skeptical. I couldn't believe that Kishi would pull a DBZ on us, but when I read the actual chapter I was pleasantly relieved. Now, for those of you who think this is a cheap ploy to use like in DBZ, there are three differences that you have to consider. 1. The dragonballs are incredibly easy to assemble during DBZ and, with the help of Porunga, anyone can be revived no matter how many times they want. 2. Nagato is, to my knowledge, the only Rinnegan user. Said to be the strongest of the three great doujutsus, it would make sense that if someone like Chiyo could revive Garra at the cost of her life, then Nagato, one of the strongest characters in Naruto, could revive many more. So, Nagato reviving those he just RECENTLY killed at the cost of his own life is quite possible in my mind. 3. Yes, he gave his life for this. It's not like this is a freebie by any means like during DBZ. Also, he couldn't revive everyone like Jiraiya or Yahiko. Personally, I thought it would be neat to see Naruto and Nagato join up, but this is good too. Overall, a good chapter and I can't wait to see Naruto's and Hinata's next encounter.
Next, I would like to say that I finally surpassed my rival, Sirstack. Someone that I greatly respect here at tv.com and is the reason why I started contributing in the first place. At first, I used contributing as a way to catch up to him level wise, but after a couple of levels my thoughts changed and I focused on becoming the best editor that I could be, even better than him. Of course, I don't think I'll ever surpass him in being the best editor, but I still surpassed him. Seriously, you should all read some of the trivia and notes from the first season of Power Rangers, his former guide, especially those of you who are fans. That was the reason I came to TVTome back in the day. I would just go from episode to episode to see neat little tidbits about my favorite show and would move on to other shows. Nowadays, tv.com either doesn't allow some of those submissions, or people just don't put the effort into making those kinds of submissions anymore. It's sad. If you compare the earlier seasons to the later ones, you can clearly see the difference. Heck, there are some major guides that don't even have that much detailed information period. Even though I said that I would never leave until I surpassed him, I'm still sticking around to make my guides the best that they can be and to obtain guides that clearly need help. That and my friends of course. Of course, "there is another" that is just like Sirstack and has inspired me to become an editor. You know who you are. Sort of like a rival, and is way passed me, level wise, but he's more of a friend than anything.
Finally, I will be starting a Naruto Alliance (working title) group on the Naruto forum soon. That's all I'm going to say about that for right now. Anyways, I've got things to do, so look out for the vacation blogs and I'll catch you all laterz!
