Alright, so Ive started to play Super Mario Galaxy (well by the time you have read this Ive already started), to see how far I can get in one weeks time. I feel and felt that it is one of those games that can be beat easily because most Mario games have, in my opinion, no challenge to them. So to test this hypothesis, I decided to play one of the few Mario titles that Ive never played before, Super Mario Galaxy.

Briefly put so far in my 35 starts that Ive achieved, Ive realized that if you just try to get every single star in each galaxy that getting to bowser or the boss stage is reletively easy and already laid out (as in before finishing one entire cluster of galaxies, when I go to the next place, say the kitchen, I already have the boss level unlocked). The bosses are easy as well. The most fun from the game actually comes from the special comets. These stars, are what I consider to be cheap and make it seem as if Nintendo realized that game is simple and are only trying to inhibit you from getting the star by using cheap tricks and tactics. For example, increasing the speed of enemies to a nearly inhuman amount, or requiring you to go through the level to beat a boss. I can also mention the race with Boo in which he apparently goes faster than the "best time", therefore forcing the player to use shortcuts (forcing you to replay the level multiple times because of the odd placement of stars). Im not saying that the game is challenging, its just so rediculous in the way in which they inhibit your ability to get a relatively easy star. Have fun replaying these levels.
Anyway, there are lots of fun moments in the game, such as being the boo mario, and fighting bowser, or taking part in some of the ministories on levels (did I mention the comments that the queen bee makes when you crawl on her to pick the star pieces). I also hate the hungry stars, and I love the hidden stars in the galaxies.
Anyway its an enjoyable game thus far.
