When I first bought GoW, I didn't know what I was in for. I knew that it was a pretty good game, but I didn't even imagine what this game's potential was. The fluid attacks. The plot. The integrated magic/sword fighting style. The graphics. Every aspect of this game was perfect. Although the only down side was that the game was too short for me. The game completion time was averaged 12-15 hours. I beat it in 7.
Although the game was short, it was worth it. The monsters were all recognizable (cyclops, ect.) and the combos to finish them off were amazing. I kept thinking, I wish there were an instant replay effect. That would be awsome.
After playing the first game and unlocking almost everything, I was wondering if there was going to be a sequel to this amazing game. As soon as I saw the trailer for the GoW 2, I knew they upped what they started with GoW 1. The magic was even more integrated into the combat system so that the combos keep on coming. However, as soon as I saw that David Jaffe was not the director anymore, I wasn't sure how the sequel would turn out. Now that I read more about Cory Barlog and his ideas, I know the game is in good hands.
