I'd like to attribute a large part of their action to your efforts

Trolls are annoying on their own. But coupled with someone badgering those trolls, we could quickly lose control of the forum and have it spiral into an argument fest.

I'm glad the mods did the right thing in eliminating the unwanted instigators. It's nice to have our boards mirror the interesting and educated discussions that the other console boards enjoy. (Well, System Wars excluded )

Honestly.. that's a much deserved apology to the mods and lots of members of the forums in which you totally took their threads into a spiraling flame-fest. Kudos for you for being mature and doing the right thing..

@Rothman: He intervened cause he thinks he's a forum police (aka MOD), but he isn't. Thats why he gets "locked and modded". Its understandable to call someone out, but to go out of control like him is against TOS. It causes as much disruption in forums as trolls do.

@ Cellien: If the mods are unwilling to intervene, I'm more than happy to see a fellow user do so.

Actually Celli, I intervened because you bring a ridiculously biased opinion to the PS3 forums, you don't own one, you certainly don't like them and yet you spend over 80% of your time on the PS3 forum. You comment on the games, the system, the service. Incredible how knowledgeable you are all without actually owning one. Hmmm you sound like an incredibly reliable source of info.

I wonder how desperate one has to be to go around trolling every day on the PS3 boards.

Trek: Whatever the opinion you may have about me is fine, but still.. the point is you get locked and modded because you try to police people based on your own opinion, which isn't your job. So just cool your jets.

I don't have any problem at all with getting locked and modded to keep the PS3 boards a little cleaner. If the MODs are locking and modding me then they are at least looking at what is going on in the PS3 forum. Since we (and I say we because there are quite a few of us doing it now )have started harping on you trolls, several of you (and I say you because you fit the Troll profile to a T) have been banned. Not suspended or locked and modded. BANNED. I see this as a more than acceptable trade off. I get locked and modded once in a while and in return the real trouble on the PS3 boards disappears. I don't want to be a MOD, I have no desire to police any other boards. I simply act on the PS3 board because that is where I spend my time and I like to ENJOY my time. So if you plan on continuing to Troll I plan on continuing to point out your trolling ways.
Nuff said.

Trek, you are pretty much the only one that gives me a hard time, Rothman chimes in occasionally now since ya'll started your "Troll Union" that got dismantled by the mods.. (Once again, breaking TOS) I talk with other members of the PS3 forums, and members that were part of that Troll union just fine. eclipsedauto, emitsu, rogerjak, and the_rick.. they aren't hot heads like you guys. They can understand what discussion is. Even if we disagree, it doesnt turn into a personal attacks. Again.. the problem is people like you that think they are mods, but ya aren't.. Only time I get modded is when talking to you... not cause anything I did, but simply because you derail the topic so much, all of our messages get deleted cause its so off-topic, because of you. The topic gets locked, cause of you. And, I don't break rules, so I won't be banned. So DEAL WIT IT..

You haven't been able to provide anyone with a reason for that. Jealous? Bored with your other consoles? Bored with your PC? I'd go over and troll on the Xbox360 boards except that I'm satisfied with my console and feel no need to do so.

I post in your blog because it came to my attention I was indirectly mentioned in one of them.. which you should expect to get some attention with. Shoulda thought about that before hand. Its also one reason why I mention you in my blog and sig. I have had PMs from members on the PS3 boards agreeing with my sig.. thats gotta say something bro. You aren't exaclty beloved on the PS3 boards...

You guys should lay off the cliche put downs on this forum.. jealous, immature teenager, bored of my console choice...., but spoiled child is a new one tho (that makes absolutely no sense). In regards to you continuing to question my profession in games.. thats fine. I don't need to prove anything to you. I am totally content in my ablilites.

I wish we could discuss maturely with one another.. but its impossible with you two. I defend myself when need be.. whether on your blogs or on the boards. I talk about every game console on multiple forums... I simply love video games. They were around when I was a little kid and they now pay my family's and my bills. I say it like it is.. You call me a troll cause you don't agree with what I say.. thats it. I have said positive things on the PS3 on numerous occasions. I never stated I wasn't going to get one someday either. I talked about the 360, the DS, the PSP (postive and negative) on their respective forums before I purchased one Ignore me if you wish... For the fact it means you won't derail topics anymore is wonderfully great for all the forum members. Maybe one day you guys can be mature like your fellow members such as The_Rick and just realize that what you guys are doing is just instigating a flame-war.

I'm guessing you're saying that in jest. I actually wouldn't mind it. I'd rather have overly-strict moderators who clamp down on the trolling. It's interesting to see how many more trolls seem to affect the PS3 board than the other two boards combined

Don't know how I came across this post, probably looking at a freind's friends list...but it looks like cellien is banned...YES!!! i hated that guy. I've gone off on him so many times it's not even funny. good riddance.
but you know he'll just be back on some other name.
