After several years of hanging on, I've decided to finally drop the first union I ever joined. I joined the Adult Gamers Unionin February of 2006. It was my first union invite and I eagerly joined, looking for conversation with "adults" like me. But lately, it's been a ghost town. I know all unions come and go, but I have been reluctant to quit this one for a while. I guess it's because it is the first one that invited me, I don't know. But today is the day I'm quitting. Does anyone else feel that way about a particular union that they joined?

Yeah, the Portable Systems and Predictions Union Union is looking a bit sad.

Many. I'll never leave the Science Fiction union. It's incredibly dead, but, never!

sad face, the end of a era

I've never really been active in unions in the first place. Just never got into them.

First union I joined was the NIN union. That seemed dead when I joined and it had just started up. Film Appreciators Union has reasonable activity, but that is the only union I post in now.

I'm still members in most of my early unions...It's a trip down memory lane...Even if they are dead.

Indeed I do. The first union I was active in. Still an officer in the ghost town.

Yes. I can think of two unions I feel the same about. One is still active, but I just haven't felt like jumping into any of the conversations.

I never could really be active in a union just couldn't get into it.

Yup. Thats why my next union is going to be run in a way that inspires activity.

Ah, ya I know how that is. I'm considering saying goodbye to The PC Gaming Zone union. I probably would've done it way sooner, but I'm an officer so I've been kind of reluctant to leave because of that.

The only Union that is very active that I am in is the RPG Temple. That's it.

I have felt like that about a few unions and I have been cleaning up the ones that I do not go to.

Is is sad to say that i feel that way about a union i made? There is piles of dust in Mario and Clouds Kingdom of Hearts and Harvest Moons. I'm a failure as a leader

I feel the same way. I was in a union and now it's a dead place.
Posted Jul 21, 2009 9:07 pm PT
That's sad.

Sorry to hear that. I hate when that happens.

I remember that giving up the first union that I joined was also hard...but it's a decision that was bound to happen.
Posted Jul 22, 2009 4:10 pm PT
I know what you mean. A few unions that I've been in were once active, but now they're totally dead...

I gotta say i can relate for sure. I actually created a union and it's still living some how. I passed it on and then it got passed on to someone else and i'm unsure if it's back to the second person now ? Lol .. At first i had all the time in the world since i had a different position at work but then things changed and got promoted and more responsibility and well i have no more time. I do check it once in a while and i will after reading this blog. Thanks for reminding me. Yes i can relate feelings on this.
