Okay, there have been a couple of people that really want to know more about my novel. Since you are all so interested, I'll give you a little character profile and a short wrap-up of what it is about.

Title: Memories of Mana.
Setting: Earth...with a twist...it is futuristic.

Plot: Several hundred of years have passed and the Earth has changed. A meteor had struck the Earth and it wiped out much of the human race. The few who did survive lived off of the technology they could salvage to start a new world. The continents broke up, shifted, and even most of it sunk into the ocean. Since the meteor hundreds of years before, the Earth has began to thrive again, with humanity spanning across the globe. Nine seperate island countries exist now, each holding their own forms of government.

Belarius, one of the countries, is a democracy and is at war with Denal, a monarchy. Since the two nations are seperated by a vast amount of ocean, most of the combat that takes place is ocean combat. Now, for the character profiles.

One of the major changes Earth has undergone is the use of an energy source called mana. Mana was discovered by humans when digging deep into the Earth. They believed it to be an energy source from the core, but what it is in all actuality is an alien material capable of widespread destruction. It came to Earth on the meteor that landed several hundreds of years earlier.

There's also one more thing you need to know. Twenty six years before the current settings of the novel, there was an experiment performed by genetic scientists. With a small group of humans, these scientists altered the human genetic code by combining it with mana. The result, humans with very unique abilities. These abilities are mostly visible through combat, but some abilities are not used for fighting.

MAJOR SPOILER...READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...These abilities are actually the powers of the aliens that the mana material really is. Mana is actually an alien being, in which by combining with the human genetic code, has created a different species...superhumans, so to speak. Later in the book, the characters with mana genes learn to harmonize their genetic code, and release the mana god (the name of the alien combined with the human's genetic code) which have unimaginable powers.
