That sucks, a point loss seems a little harsh. That's one of my biggest problems with GS, you have to be so ridiculously careful about what you post.

when you think about it for a second, it does look like potential bait for him/her/it to come back with something, but even so he/she/it brought it on him/her/itself by being a racist in today's world.

Well, that's the problem with having mods picked out from the community. There's always going to be a certain bias with some mods since the higher-ups in Gamespot never really got to know them or see who they are as a person. The best we can do at this point is not worry about it I suppose.

The problem is that based on our policy here, it isn't the user's place to call such things out. If someone's acting as a racist, simply reporting them as one is sufficient, and will ensure that the user actually gets punished, and not the person who's trying to stand up against them.

The only reason why a user would get away freely is mainly because no one reports the offending user, and furthermore, they don't simply ignore the user. If someone is saying things just to troll and rile up things, responding to them in any capacity means that that person has automatically won, regardless of what you say in response. That's the mentality of someone who trolls - they're trying to get you to post back at them and revel in the idea that they can control the emotions of others through being offensive or insensitive. Reporting such people, and then ignoring them, is the only response that really is needed in such situations.

The policy is strict and vague POS to be honest. I am starting to wonder if mods read more than just the one post when moderating.

Also, it seems SunofVich is not banned. I don't understand how you can be so blatantly racist and not be banned. He's still level 30 Toriko

I think the problem was that you directly accused someone of something. If the person is or isn't, doesn't really matter to MODS.

ive gotten modded with point loss like 8 times this level usually for flaming wich i deserved but also alot of them is just plain censorship, its no secret i dont agree with alot of the moderators but we are visitors on theyr site so cant fight the abuse.
