Yeah, I told some of you about her, but I need to spread her existance to the rest of my GS friends. And maybe she isn't really mine, but I'm borrowing her from the school, and I love her. I need to name her...since it's a tradition at my school to name all Tubas/Sousaphones.

And, I'm learning Holiday by Green Day on it. How awesome is that?

Wow, cool instrument Tim ... can you play "Tears in Heaven" on it ?

Name her... Polka.
Sorry, I'm playing Eternal Sonata, and all the characters have music-related names.

@-DaNuTz-: No, because I can't sing on a Tuba
@Cloud551: Haha, it's okay. I'm just brainstorming ideas right now. Bertha and Charlotte are already taken by other Tubas/Sousaphones right now though

@nymets819: Figures you'd think like that And Holiday is awesome, and fun to play
@Cloud551: I put it on the list of names to consider, so far it's the only suggestion

I would love to hear Holiday on something like that! Cool, man!

@stevenscott14: The shame, the ones who died without a name.
@3DayFinisher: I'm using a Jupiter I think.
@-Hells_Gate-: Thanks
@pspdemoboy52: It's pretty cool. Of course it sounds better when I play it with the full marching band, but the low brass part has the main guitar part

since i finally learned how to read drum tabs (took awhile right) i can probably play holiday on drums....i wonder how that would sound.... a tuba/sousaphone and percussion.... hmmm
Posted Jun 8, 2009 10:48 am PT
@nymets819: Not very good seeing as we'd be missing a huge part of the song Plus the version I've almost finished learning is transposed for a marching band, so it's not quite the same. The drums are mapped out for snare, bass drums, quads, cymbals, etc. The vocals are to the trumpet and high woodwinds, while the guitar/bass riff is mixed between high and low brass. And the guitar part has been cut down, the main riff is now quarter notes while the chorus is just whole notes. And I think the solo is now on trumpet, but I'm not sure. And the vocal, bass and drum only part is also cut out. However that awesome break down is still intact!
