I have posted this on the Hawks foums and am reposting it on my blog just so I can say I told you so when it comes out.

I have played a lot of Tom Clancy games and have started to realized a trend. After looking at the game title, screenshots and forum speculation, I have interpolated a possible late game storyline which I am confident will be used.

The last mission is that your jet goes so fast that it reaches the speed of light. This, as everyone knows, sends the jet back in time. The jet accidentally crashes through the Wright brother's plane just before its first flight, creating a time paradox. You then go back into the future by flying in reverse. You see that the future is being destroyed by the phase shift and there are earthquakes and volcanoes killing everyone. You then have 12 minutes to travel back in time to shoot yourself down before you cause the paradox. This is exspecially hard because your old self knows all your maneuvers and the present you doesn't because you were given amnesia from the government. After you shoot yourself down you go back to the future and everyone is celebrating including ghost recons, splinter cells and rainbow 6s. Terrorist use this opportunity to invade Las Vegas.

That's when Rainbow 6 Vegas starts.

My proof:

1) It ties into the Tom Clancy universe too well not to be used. It basically explains why Rainbow 6 Vegas happened. Also at some point in the game a NSA agent will pop up in a box on the top corner of your screen and tell you to shoot something with missiles.

2)The name is H.A.W.X. This ties into the story because because the first flight took place at Kitty Hawk. It is pluralized because you go there twice. Also when you comback to the future, no one uses Ks or Ss any more, they replace them with a more extreme X. Also in the future every letter in a word becomes a self-contained sentence therefore requires appropriate punctuation. The title could also be called Tom Clancy's H.A?W.X! They didn't use Kitty because Ubisoft didn't want to make people think this is a prequel to their popular Catz series. They also don't want people to think this is a game where Kitties fly around on Hawks.

3) The graphics are so good in this game they have to be from the not too distant future. The game is actually a historical game from the future that has fallen out of the destroyed fighter jet and buried in the sands at Kitty Hawk. It is then found, reproduced and sold. Although the story never happened, because it is from the mind of Tom Clancy, it would be a great viral marketing campaign. Of course this would spoil the ending, but they will remedy this by having the main character die at the begining of the game and the rest of the game be a flashback.

I am sure there is more proof, but thats all I can post without spoiling the suprise midgame plot twist. That's only the last level, but I assume the rest of the game involves flying through a series of rings.

With the exchange rate the way it is right now, games in Canada should be at the same retail price as america, $60. But it is still at $70 plus tax. Retailers are not changing thier prices, they say it is too hard and they don't want a fluxating price on games. But if the Canadian dollar drops, the price will instantly shoot up.

This is just lame.
