Alright ladys and gents, the time has come for me to pick my future. I've basically narrowed it down to a few things. I'm thinking of heading to the U of C this year and taking either Management Information Systems, or Computer Science or both.

Also, I could take a year off and work in Europe or elsewhere.

Still, I've thought about joining some part of the Canadian forces. I've always been interested in being in the air force.

So many choices, so little time. Can anyone give me a bit of insight on any of the above stated?

If you have the option of taking a year off and working in Europe before going to University (still guaranteed admission?) then I'd go that route. Seeing how people live in a different part of the world opens your mind and makes you more cultured. It will help you put things in a better perspective when you're actually going to class about what REALLY is important to you. And damn you'll have plenty of stories to score with the ladies at school when you come back, amirite? As for the armed forces uh...I dunno about that. There are wars being fought, yaknow.

I think I agree with Bob for the most part. If you can do the traveling AND the school, you've got it set. But if you can only do one, I'd probably take the safer bet and go to school. And I personally don't see the point of joining anything that has to do with killing and war, so I would skip the armed forces.

Well... my advise would be not to join the army... Oh, and you still stick with your old Thr33 screen name? Nostalgia...

There are indeed wars and that going on, but it's not as if the Canadians are ever involved in any. I say join the Air Force and practise some loop-de-loops!

Wrong, Bates. The Canadian military is indeed, deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan. http://www.cfc.forces.gc.ca/spotnews_e.html

Note to self: Check the facts before mouthing off in folks' blogs, especially when Bob Colayco is in attendance.
